I have a minimum of 25 students who are excited about traveling to Washington DC and seeing where so many events happen but they only read about them in class. Not only are they getting an experience of a life but will also earn a high credit. My students only dream about leaving home for 3 to 4 days, staying in a nice hotel and ordering from a menu. This field experience will be the first ever for some but I pray it will leave them thirsting for more. Being in a low social economic area the funds are hard for families to pay but understand the importance of education. We want our kids to grow up with all education advantages so they can become productive adults.
