Accessibility for Public Education
Funded Oct 4, 2017My students and I would like to thank you for the money you donated to purchase our classroom materials. With these materials, we are collaborating on group projects, making posters and not having to copy so many notes from the board! This increases our time for challenging our brains and extending our knowledge of social studies.
When my students first saw the materials, they were speechless. They were (and still are!) so grateful that people that do not sit in our classroom everyday are willing to spend money to help them learn. The poster-board was a huge hit, since they knew that would lead to group projects, and their favorite- illustrating their ideas! They really appreciate the printer because sometimes, as they say, "middle schoolers lose stuff," and we can quickly get back to work without having to search through their busy backpacks.
As far as next steps for us, we will be working on debating historical issues/topics, and using these posters to gather ideas and collaborate together to have the strongest argument. We will be printing out various texts to support our thinking and extend our ideas that we have about the topics.
Once again, thank you SO much for your donation to our classroom!”
With gratitude,
Teacher Viola
