• Brain Pop

  Thank you again for your generous donation to my students. BrainPop has made a tremendous difference in my lessons. Not only am I able to describe and talk about math, history, English language arts, reading and science concepts but now I can go to BrainPop and show a video. My students use BrainPop for new information, review information and sometimes just for fun. The quizzes that follow the lessons give my students immediate feedback on their understanding of the lesson.

  BrainPop is interactive and really appeals to my students' love of technology. Before you, I was not able to provide my students with up-to-date educational information presented in an interesting format. You have made such an impact on this school year. My students and I are truly grateful!”

  Thank you for funding my project. My students are visibly excited when I tell them to go to the computer center! My students also have been able to go on websites such as Scholastic Storyworks and view background information from Storyworks magazine writers as well as view video footage that coincides with the Storyworks' articles. Additionally, my students have been able to perform research on high schools as well as complete a college assignment.

  My class has now partnered with Price Waterhouse in teaching elementary school children about economics. Because of your generosity, my students will be able to participate in virtual classes about future careers; the training/education required, and the potential income from those careers.

  The chromebook computers that you purchased for my class will continue to help my current and future students succeed for years to come. Thank you again for helping my students have the same experiences as their peers in better funded school districts.”

  Also, the Minerals and Rocks software that you provided us has really helped my students understand Earth science. My students are able to get up "close and personal" with the rocks. They really love seeing the various types of rocks and minerals and being able to interact with them.

  Thank you very much for your generous donation to my project. My students enjoy reading the Time for Kids Magazines. These magazines are geared for middle school students and my students love them and look forward to their arrival each week. The articles include a large variety of topics, such as politics, science, current events, and sports.

  These magazines are helping my students build comprehension and critical thinking skills. I know that you had a lot of options for your donation and we are truly grateful that you chose us. My students used to argue over who would get to read my one magazine first, now, they each have their own magazine. Thank you for allowing my students to have this fantastic learning tool.”

  Also, we use Earth Science interactive whiteboard software. My students are able to get up "close and personal" with the planets and other space objects. They really love learning about the Earth's surface and the impact that humans are having on Earth. The atmosphere is exciting to them because weather is something that they can see and live. I also use the interactive whiteboard for English Language Arts and Math.

• Cells Alive!

  I want to thank you personally for making a difference in my students' lives. The microscope that you sponsored for us is FABULOUS! The microscope is perfect for middle school students. It is sturdy, functional and easy to operate. My students are able to actually examine some of the specimens that they read about. That alone, has been an experience that my students will never forget. Looking at something as simple as onion cells have been a major event for them. My students and I are looking forward to using the microscopes in some forensic investigations and more microscopic anatomy. Because of your generosity, my students can now have the same experiences as their counterparts in "better funded school districts." Because of Google, our world is a better place.
