With distance learning, my students need to have an outlet to express and explore their creativity. I will use literature and poetry to inspire my students to create their own original artwork. Since students are not in the building, giving access to art materials is critical for their well being. Each student will receive their own art brushes, acrylic paint and two canvases.
This project will help to maintain the whole child mindset and allow creativity to continue to flow. Students will receive direct and indirect instruction using culturally relevant literature and spoken word poetry.
