  • Clean It Up

    Funded Apr 16, 2025

Wow. Thank you for funding this important project for my class. We want to get this park cleaned up in honor of Earth Day so the whole class cheered when I told them we were going to get all of our items that we need! We appreciate you so much!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Phillips

  • The Heart Of The Matter

    Funded Jan 11, 2025

Thank you so much for helping my class get these very important items to celebrate others, our class business, and have some fun!

The Valentine's hearts turned out so nicely. They were a lovely gift for a special person in their lives. The students in class were thrilled to put on their own apron for our business. They look so good! Of course, they are having so much fun with the squishies and erasers they can get as a reward for their hard work.

Your generosity is so appreciated and we can't say thank you enough!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Phillips

  • Celebrate With Crafts!

    Funded Mar 24, 2025

Thank you so much for helping fund my project on this very special anniversary for Donors Choose! I have had so many wonderful experiences with my students thanks to donors like you. These mementos will be so fun to make with my class. We are very grateful for your generosity!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Phillips

  • It's Grow Time

    Funded Nov 14, 2024

Thank you so much for your help getting this project funded. It takes a village to get everything we need to fully enhance the student's learning experiences. We were so excited to get the seeds to plant and books to help us learn about gardening and track our planting and growth!

The students had many options to choose from in the seed packets. We have been watching for any sign of green and when it finally happened they were ecstatic!

We now have tons of green and we are talking about transferring our seedlings to our planter box when it's a bit warmer.”

  • Practice Makes Perfect

    Funded Aug 22, 2024

Thank you so much for helping us get what we needed to start our business off right at the beginning of the school year. Vocational training is a huge part of my program and we often lack what we need, especially at the start of the year. The students were able to practice making bundles and advertising with the paper that we got from this project.

The snacks and supplies like the cellophane bags were just what we needed to get our students interested and motivated. Thank you so much for your support and encouragement!”

  • Caring Classroom

    Funded Sep 10, 2024

Thank you for helping my class be a calm and comfortable environment for my students! They are enjoying the sensory items, food choices, and hygiene supplies that are available to them when they needed.

Being at both a low income and special education school means that my students often have struggles that can make their day pretty rough. By having supplies for them to meet their basic needs I can help them move on to the learning phase and truly enjoy their time here at school. Your generosity is so appreciated and we can't this onto enough!”

    With gratitude,

  • Kindness Campaign

    Funded May 7, 2024

Thank you for contributing to our kindness campaign! We are enjoying the items we received, especially the sticker book that has so many amazing choices in it!

I hope you know that we value kindness so greatly at our school and your act of kindness, donating to our project, sets a great example for the students. Our new kindness books state that giving to and helping others can make you feel good, I hope that is true in your case!

The new paint pens we have will be used to make Father's Day cards for our student's family members, we know they will feel great recognizing people who care for them.”

  • Color the World

    Funded Mar 27, 2024

We absolutely love our new art supplies. They are so amazing. They create art on the next level. The vibrance and depth of the colors in the student's art truly stands out from prior projects.

These supplies are also easy and fun to use. We had some great comments from the students as they used them for the first time. They were so excited!

As the school year winds down, I am already looking forward to next school year and all the projects we will do with our new art supplies. I will keep many of my current students so I will be able to see them progress in their skills.”

  • It's a Puzzler

    Funded Feb 5, 2024

My students were so excited to see the new items that came in the mail. We honor their interests during the day and let them choose different activities to do, usually puzzles, playing games or drawing. My students have needed help to clean up after themselves, but our new supplies brought fresh choices and an easy way to get back to work when they aren't quite finished with their activity. Thank you so much for the chance to have a quick clean up and smooth transitions in the classroom, in addition to the new fun choices we added to free time!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Phillips

I am a lucky teacher at a school for children with disabilities. We have about 170 students total. I have 13 students and they are either 18 or 19 years old. We emphasize health and nutrition because of the prevalence of obesity among our population of students. This school year we have started even more programs to enhance their health. We are sampling produce every month and they have corresponding curriculum. They ride horses weekly on our campus, and have just started swimming again. We promote dental health and teach them how to handle stress and emotions. They soak up everything we teach them and want more. They are a joy to work with and teach me as much as I teach them.
