My students love to utilize coding and CAD on their in-class projects. In fact, nearly all students have elected to develop the prototype of their elderly-supportive invention through CAD. We would love to be able to utilize our 3D printer in order for our prototypes to become tangible, but we do not have the filament needed for our 3D printer. It would make my students ecstatic to be able to take their CAD invention prototypes to the next level. Not only is this something that would encourage students to develop their creativity, but it also will help them to realize that their aspirations are limitless.
