  • Ukuleles For ALL 4th & 5th Grade Students

    Funded Nov 14, 2023

    My students are putting your donation to work every single day. The ukuleles that you helped purchase are already in the hands of students who were previously sharing. Now every student has their own instrument to use in music class.

    When my student first saw the new ukuleles they were excited and eager to get their hands on them. We went over correct usage and where the ukuleles will live. Students are actively practicing Hot Cross Buns and Honey Bee by Jeremy Messersmith, from the album 11 Obscenely Optimistic Songs for Ukulele.

  • 3rd Grade Recorders

    Funded Feb 7, 2023

    Our recorders have arrived. Every student in 3rd grade now has their own recorder! We use these each day in class to develop our fine motor control skills, perform as a group and as a soloist. The students are super excited to get these recorders and students have already starting tooting joyous melodies.

    Our next steps include working through the recorder karate program. Students will earn colored belts with the successful completion of each song. By then end their recorders will be colorful and in the hands of a capable, proud 3rd grade musician.
