As a school counselor in a high-need, Title I school, I work with students from marginalized communities, many of whom are immigrants, refugees, asylum seekers, and English Language Learners. My students face challenges like PTSD, trauma, grief, poverty, food insecurity, self-regulation, and autism. Every student qualifies for free lunch, and the resources we receive through Donors Choose are crucial. These supplies support my students' social and emotional development and help them succeed academically.
