My students learn best by being able to "do". They learn well with interactive lessons. The tablets would allow them to use apps as groups and individuality to expand their learning of hard to teach lessons. They would also be using the tablets to take orders for the coffee shop they operate, learn new recipes, and send out menus to staff and customers. Fire tablets will help set our ordering on fire. Students can take orders faster, use pictures for emphasis, allow non readers to take orders using pictures, develop their own recipes to share with staff via email and Google accounts. They will also help them in the classroom to learn money skills and other interactive lessons that are difficult to learn and teach our kids with traditional classroom worksheets and lectures.
