Students are able to check books out and read them at home or any time they have a spare moment. I try to keep a wide variety of books, from memoirs to classics, graphic novels to poetry, for all reading levels and reading interests, I make sure there is something for everyone. Seeing my students read a book and then come back to check out another one provides an excitement I cannot explain! They get so excited when they finish a book and want to talk about the characters, the storyline, and how they relate to certain parts or particular characters of the book! It is so rewarding to see and hear how they get swept away in something other than their phones!
