  I would like to think you for your donation of the diverse books for our school library. Our students were thrilled to receive these publications. • Headphones for Learning

  Funded Feb 23, 2023

  Thank you so much for your generous donations. Without your support my students would not have the resources needed to meet their learning needs.

  The students with learning disabilities are excited to have new headphones this year. These headphones will be used in the library and classroom for students to listen to audiobooks. The headphones will also be used by students who have the read aloud accommodation for math, science and social studies during every day learning and for testing. Thanks again!”

• Graphic Novels are Awesome!

  I would like to express my sincere gratitude for your generous donation you have made to the Crowley Middle School library. The students have greatly enjoyed reading the graphic novels we received. The books are getting checked out everyday. I would also like to thank you because with the donation we were able to purchase graphic novels in Spanish. Our ESL program is expanding and Spanish titles are very much needed for our students who speak little to no English. Having Spanish titles makes them feel like they are part of our school community. Once again, thank you so much!”

• Rolling with Great Books!

  Thank you so much for your generosity. I am now able to distribute books to students in a timely manner. The cart is also very quiet while rolling down the hallways. It's awesome. The students are also enjoying reading the new books that we received through this donation. They will be now able to vote for their favorite books in the Louisiana Young Reader's Choice Awards for the Spring of 2022. Once again, we appreciate your generosity. Without donors like you, I would not be able to provide our students with the books they love to read.”

• Wild About Books!

  Thank you so much for your generous donations which enabled our school library to aquire books. The students were so excited to unbox the new books and could not wait to check them out. Due to unforseen conditions due to the Covid-19 virus, only a few students were able to read some of the books before we had to close school. Our school is due to reopen on September 8, 2020 and I am hopeful that I can get these books into the hands of students who are eager to read. From all of my students, I want to send out a special thank you once again for your generosity.”

• Updating Our Spanish Book Collection

  Thank you so much for your donations. We were able to receive all of the Spanish titles we requested. The ESL students were overjoyed when first seeing the books. With these new additions, our Spanish collection has doubled. The students are enjoying reading these books on a daily basis. They feel like they are more part our our school and library community. • Graphic Novels: Reaching Reluctant Readers!

  Thank you so much. Because of your generosity, our library has more graphic novels available that students enjoy reading. We are able to reach reluctant readers, those students who may not be reading at grade level or student who do not like to read. Graphic novels are engaging, yet short reads that keep students coming back for more. Without your help, this would not be possible. Reading is such an important component of everyday life. • Full STEAM Ahead: Library Robotics!

  Thank you so much for your generosity! Your funds allowed our library to receive its first set of cubelets. During Makerspace time, students are able to create robots using basic coding skills. The students use the examples given with the set of cubelets or they create their own robot by connecting the blocks. They are so amazed when the robot runs on its own, flashes lights, makes sounds, etc. These definitely provide the opportunity for creative learning while having fun. Thanks again. • Learning in the Library with Chromebooks!

  Thank you so much for your donations. The students were very excited when the boxes arrived and could not wait to see what we had received. They were even more excited when they unpacked the boxes and realized that new Chromebooks had been donated to the library. With the new Chromebooks, the students now have access to more technology in the library. Students have been using the Chromebooks for class projects, reports, reading, group work and testing. • Soft Seating For Reading

  Thank you so much for your generosity. Your donation has made it possible for my project, Soft Seating for Reading, become reality. The chairs we received have had a remarkable impact on our students and the library's environment. The students are always asking to sit in the new lounge area to read or work on class projects. The library has a more inviting atmosphere which is welcoming for all of our patrons; even the faculty and staff enjoy "lounging" in the library.
