  • Let’s Move the Writing From the Walls to the Tables!

    Funded Jun 24, 2024

We are wrapping up our first few weeks of school with the new tools in our classroom. The students are thriving and are loving the new ways that they can express their thoughts and practice literacy skills.

Every one of our students love spending time using the dry erase markers to write on the tables. They are able to have so much more time each day writing letters, practicing name writing, drawing shapes, etc. Being able to do so right on the table surface has made learning time much more interactive and enjoyable for our class.

Thank you for choosing to help us and for making a difference in the lives of so many students.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Danielle Masullo

  • Creating a Safe and Cozy Calming Corner

    Funded Jul 17, 2024

Our students have been using the Calming Corner in our classroom for a few weeks and we can already tell that it is serving it's purpose. The vision that we had for our classroom has come to life and we couldn't have asked for anything more amazing!

We combined all of the new materials that we got with some other things that we already had. The results are impressive. Students have a space where they can go when they are overwhelmed or upset. There are many choices of activities and each child can use whatever soothes him/her in their time of need.

So many children have a very hard time learning when they are upset. This space allows our students to have some time to calm down and resume learning when they are ready. It is absolutely working and we want to thank all who made it happen for us!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Danielle Masullo

  • On the Move

    Funded Aug 22, 2023

We are a few weeks into the 2023-2024 school year and the new materials are a huge hit with our class. All of the students enjoy having time to explore in the block/building area of the classroom. I have seen so much teamwork with our students building the train track and driving cars on the new rug. They help each other problem solve if something isn't working the way it should. The learning opportunities provided to the students with all of the new materials we have is something that is amazing to observe. Thank you for giving our students learning opportunities that they otherwise would not have had.”

  • Cookin’ Up Some Fun

    Funded Aug 14, 2023

We are a few weeks into the 2023-2024 school year and the new materials are a huge hit with our class. All of the students enjoy having time to explore in the dramatic play area of the classroom. I have seen a restaurant set up with just about everything being used- the new cookware, the new cash register, and the new dinnerware- combined with some of the materials we already had- play food, dress up clothes, and baby dolls. The learning opportunities provided to the students with all of the new materials we have is something that is amazing to observe. Thank you for making a positive difference in the lives of so many students.”

  • Update our Space and Make it Both Inviting and Learning Friendly!

    Funded Aug 7, 2023

The new and improved classroom is looking amazing! It is still a work in progress but it already looks like a completely different room. The dry erase surface over the damaged chalkboards, the bulletin board tiles, and the new paper/borders on the corkboards has made the whole space brighter and more interactive. Because of this project being funded, we were able to turn so much damaged, outdated, and wasted space into usable, workable space. The students are more engaged during lessons and the overall mood is so much more cheerful.”

  • Teaming Up With Technology

    Funded Apr 4, 2019

Our classroom community wanted to thank each and every one of you for your generosity. The Chrome Book arrived toward the end of last school year. I spent some time over the past few months putting educational apps on it that were developmentally appropriate for our preschool aged students. Once that was done over the summer, the Chrome Book was ready to debut in the classroom this school year, with some returning students and some new students.

Our students have been super excited about being able to access technology and all of the fun educational web sites and games available. It has been great to be able to find games that go along with the specific curriculum unit that we are working on. We are able to offer various games for the wide range of abilities and skill levels and everyone has the opportunity to learn on the Chrome Book.

It has been wonderful watching their responses when we bring out the Chrome Book. Each day they are eager to see who is going to get a chance to play (learn!). Your generosity has absolutely affected our classroom in so many positive ways that I cannot even describe all of them. Thank You!!!!!!!”

The computer I have access to at work is not dependable. It has crashed many times, causing me to lose all past lessons and activities that I have accumulated. Many of our curriculum lessons need to be enriched. I spend time each day looking for ways to do that. As a teacher, my work does not stop when I leave school. I often plan and prepare well into the evenings while at home. This laptop would allow me the opportunity to pick up right where I leave off and will allow me to continue to work on enriching the lessons even when I am not at school. It will be used during the school day with students to provide hands-on interactive learning experiences. These experiences will include, but are not limited to, research on subjects that are part of the curriculum, enrichment of the curriculum, and developmentally appropriate online lessons. I am confident that student interest in learning and retention of skills learned will benefit greatly from this added learning tool.
