I wish to provide my students with opportunities to learn using tools, technology, hands-on manipulatives, games, texts, and more. Students need a variety of learning experiences; but without the tools, these experiences are not possible. Using these items, my students can practice skills in a fun and exciting way that inspires them to love learning. Each item is a tool that can help students improve skills in the areas of self-advocacy, independence, phonics, vocabulary, reading, writing, sign language, spoken language, mathematics and so much more! Our department does not have these types of items, nor a budget for them. I would love to give our students access to these tools to enhance their education. I will share this gift with students in our whole department so they all can benefit from this variety of learning tools. I am thankful to the Fiesta Bowl for their generous grant and making this wish possible for the Deaf/Hard of Hearing students in our district.
