I teach first grade in a Title 1 school with amazing students who are willing to learn but most times do not have the supplies they need. We get supplies from the school but it is limited amount. I often buy materials for students who's families are unable to afford them. Being in a low-income/high poverty school district can be quite challenging but very rewarding. I love my students like I love my own children. Being able to provide providing them with quality education is my biggest focus. Being able to obtain back to school supplies for my students will fill in the gap for those who are unable to provide them so that we can focus on the joys of learning.
