Funded Sep 18, 2024I want to extend my heartfelt thanks for your incredibly generous donations. Your support has meant so much to our students and has brought a sense of joy and excitement to their classroom.
My students were so excited when they saw the boxes of materials but on the day, I told them they were going to choose and wear their own superhero cape, well the joy on their faces was beyond excitement. The joy radiating as they put them on was priceless! These capes have sparked so much creativity and imagination in our classroom. They've become an integral part of our learning activities, whether it's during dramatic play or as part of our social-emotional development exercises or just because we want to show we are kind, brave, or responsible. It's amazing how something so simple can have such a profound impact.
Thanks to your kindness, our students now have yet another way to explore their sense of self and experience the world through play. These capes aren't just fun; they also provide an opportunity for them to practice sharing, cooperation, and even leadership. The excitement and engagement have been remarkable, and it's all because of your support.
As for the piñata, my students are excited and looking forward to celebrating Children's Day come April followed by decorating their own picture frame and adding their very own graduation picture. I have no doubt they will cherish these forever.
Once again, thank you for making a difference in the lives of our young learners. Your generosity is helping to create an environment where memories are made, where imagination and superheroes come alive, and creativity thrives. We are truly grateful for this!”

Funded Dec 15, 2023Thank you so much for your generous donations! It warms my heart to know how much our donors choose community cares for our children and their education.
As you can imagine my students were thrilled to see and get to use our "calming cube". We call it our "calming cube" but it's much more.
My students use this designated space when they need to take a break. I have seen how it has provided the perfect space to read a book or play quietly with a stuffed animals or two. When needed students use it to self-regulate and to listen to their bodies if they need to be by themselves for a moment. This distraction-free environment is a space where they are able to spend time with a fidget, a book, or even a friend to help regulate themselves thus, allowing more learning to happen.
The "calming cube" has been a wonderful addition to our classroom! Once again, thank you for supporting our classroom and helping my students thrive!”

Funded Sep 24, 2023Thank you, thank you, thank you! My heart is bursting with gratitude. My students were thrilled when they saw our newly acquired resources. So thrilled that they wanted to explore and play with the materials the moment they saw them.
The Magna-tiles have been a big hit in our classroom and are used daily. They have provided endless possibilities of open-ended play creative and imaginative play for my kindergarteners. Whether playing by themselves or with a classmate the interactions and active engagement is happening. If you ask any student what center, they would like to go to during free choice it will most likely be one that includes Magna-tiles.
The literacy toolkits are allowing me to provide students with the developmentally appropriate foundational skills they to succeed in kindergarten in a fun and engaging way! Students are recognizing letters of the alphabet. They are segmenting, decomposing, reading and writing words. These are skills they need to be a successful reader.
The retelling fairy tale kits have been incorporated into all our academic learning blocks. In literacy, they have made retelling a story so much more fun and engaging. I have noticed the positive impact these are making on my quieter students. They are providing students with opportunities to speak and build confidence. I love watching how students are using their own imaginations and creating different stories or endings. In addition, they provide the opportunity for students to work together as a group, thus fostering a classroom community where students thrive.
I truly believe that the resources I purchased because of your generous donations have made a big difference in our classroom. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your support! Together we are making a difference in our students' academic career and opening doors that reach beyond these classroom walls.”

The light table was a big hit in our classroom and is used on a daily basis. The bright colors and light shining through the translucent pattern blocks adds to the enjoyment of each and every students' learning. Whether if it's by themselves or with a classmate the interactions and active engagement is happening. If you ask any student what center they would like to go to during free choice it would most likely be the light table.
The ramp and ball set were a big hit during our force and motion STEM unit. It added so much excitement to our learning. Students were able to experiment with force and motion by building different paths with different inclinations to test how it might affect the balls speed down the ramp. I could see how they were developing their critical thinking every time the ball rolled down. Furthermore, students had the opportunity to work together as a group thus, fostering a classroom community where students thrive. My students are thriving!
I loved seeing how excited they were when they saw their ideas become something they could touch and show their friends. Funded Dec 22, 2016Thank you so much for your amazing donations. My students were thrilled to see the new materials that were delivered to our classroom. They wanted to explore and play with the materials the moment they came out of the box.
The wobble stools are a big hit in our classroom and used on a daily basis. I have seen how wiggling and wobbling while sitting has increased their ability to focus during independent work and during small group instruction. On a daily basis you will hear them asking if they can take the wobble stool to their table or the carpet. Ask any student and they will say they make learning definitely much more fun!
The puppets and engineering sets have been incorporated into our literacy, math and science blocks. In literacy, the puppets have made retelling a story so much more fun and engaging. I have notice the positive impact the puppets are making on my quieter students. These are providing students with opportunities to speak and build confidence. Furthermore, they provide the opportunity for students to work together as a group, thus fostering a classroom community where students thrive.
My kindergrtners love the STEM and engineering sets. During science and math time they think they are playing when in reality they are problem solving and thinking critically as they construct houses, bridges, or whatever it is they have imagined. I love seeing how excited they are when they see their ideas become something they can touch and show their friends. I truly believe that the resources I purchased because of your generous donations are making a big difference in our classroom. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your support! Funded Dec 29, 2014Thank you so very much for the donations. As you can imagine there was plenty of excitement when my five and six year old students saw the materials that were delivered to our classroom. Wow, cool, and awesome were some of the words students shouted out. "It's so soft" one student commented, referring to the brand new, bright and colorful carpet that had replaced our old and faded one. One student on the carpet began counting, "uno, dos, tres, cuatro, cinco, seis." Then she stopped even though the numbers went up to twenty.
Our carpet and the many other resources our classroom received have made math engaging, interesting and definitely much more fun. On a daily basis you will hear my students asking if they can play with the dinosaur or bug counters during free choice time. I watch how they interact with one another as they sort, count and/or create complex patterns. This type of activity not only builds math skills but language and social skills as well. During my small or whole group instruction all students are engaged with my lesson given that we have enough white boards where each student can write their response on.
I have been incorporating manipulatives and the other resources we received in most of my math lessons. My students have so enjoyed learning with these. What's more, they have helped my students grasp concepts with greater ease making my teaching more effective! My students are now counting, comparing amounts, composing/decomposing numbers, adding/subtracting and solving word problems. My students are meeting or exceeding their end of the year assessment. More importantly, they love Math! I truly believe that the resources I purchased because of your donations have played a major role in my students' academic success. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your support! Together we are making a difference in our students' academic career and opening doors that reach beyond these classroom walls.”
