Beginner Instrumental Music Program

Thank you so much for your donation. I wanted to start by apologizing for the long overdue thanks. This year has been one that has taken a toll on educators and communities across the nation, but organizations such as yours continue to remind us to persevere through.

As previously mentioned, this is a low income community filled with first generation students and immigrants alike. The growing need to have a sound Arts department has been a top priority the last few years however, due to limited space, most teachers in the building are traveling from class to class. These new resources ensure students are still able to receive a well-rounded music education without "cutting corners" or "watering down" the significance of instrumental pedagogy.

This school year we are going to finally be able to start a marching band and have a stronger retention in the instrumental music program. Students will now be able to start learning an instrument at any point in their middle school career and be a part of the band program in more ways than one. Band has been a long time favorite with waiting lists every year however due to lack of space the program formerly could only be held in the band room. Now however, more students will be able to participate even though they are in a traditional classroom. What started as a mere hope became reality thanks to your donation. Thank you again and we hope to invite you to a concert in the coming future.”
