Making Writer's Workshop Colorful!

A little goes a long way. That is something I have learned as teacher. Given the resources that have been provided via your donation we were able to reinvent our writers workshop. My students are so eager to write now. This is something that use to cause them to get anxious and sometimes even defiance.

I waited for all the packages to arrive before discussing our plans. Then I explained how we would be changing writer's workshop and allowed them to open the packages. They were all excited for the pens. Flair pens to be exact. Creating colorful writing pieces is all they want to now. It's amazing how motivated they are by the ability to write with as they call it a "teacher's pen".

Next we will be compiling the writing pieces to create a book for our end of the year project. We will pick a title and each student will have an opportunity to design their own cover. They're really looking forward to it and showing it to their parents. I can't thank you enough for your role in their happiness.”
