My students are an amazing bunch of very active and wiggly second grade detectives. We are a Title I dual language immersion classroom in the heart of North Portland. My students come from diverse cultural and socio-economic backgrounds, and we are coming together to learn, teach, and celebrate a new language. They have so much energy that, as the day drags on, their energy increases. As a teacher, it is my job to figure out how to best channel and harness that energy.
