These books will help me lead guided reading lessons for my second-grade students. The books are in six book sets so the students can learn within a small group of their peers. Guided reading is our time to dive deep into texts and learn how to be lifelong lovers of literature. The books were selected with my students in mind. They are all topics that are of high interest and will excite my young readers. The books are also a variety of fiction and nonfiction, books with admirable characters, and books that will lead to interesting lessons. Additionally, the texts meet their reading needs, at their individual reading levels. My students have already grown so much this school year; I look forward to using these books to continue their reading growth.
