  • Fabulous Fifth Graders

    Funded Dec 18, 2023

We can't thank you enough for your generosity. Due to your kindness my students now have books that they enjoy reading and privacy to take their exams without distraction.

The library books were a wonderful addition to our library. The students eagerly book shopped and added the graphic novels to their book baggies! My students are reading and asking for the next book!

The students were so happy to see new privacy boards that help them stay focused on heir work with minimal distractions. The headphones helped them listen to their stories and follow directions carefully.

I thank you and my students thank you!!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Tserbis

    Funded Mar 15, 2011

Thank you so much for your generosity and your dedication to students. With your donations I was able to help my students and enrich their learning. The board games are a welcome addition to our routine. The students absolutely love them and were so surprised when they realized that there are games that help with their reading skills. They constantly ask to play our literacy games!!With your help my students are now more eager to study reading. The flip video also helped my students in seeing themselves learn and being caught doing something good. The looks on their faces is priceless, they see that they are true learners.

You all have my deepest gratitude and I will always be grateful for your help in enriching my students' lives. ”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Tserbis

My class is a micro-CTT class, which contains two teachers, a special education teacher and a general education teacher. I have a mix of students that come from different backgrounds. My classroom contains neurotypical students and students with special needs; specifically Asperger's Syndrome. Our school is a public school that includes grades Pre-K through grade 5. My students are full of questions on how the world works and why things happen. The students with autism have a very difficult time understanding the social world around them. In helping them grasp and make sense of social issues and situations, certain materials would help in their progression towards self-awareness. Due to their inability to understand social situations, their comprehension of text is hindered.
