  • Take Off Into Earth Science

    Funded Oct 29, 2016

Thank you so much for funding my donors choose project. I am now able to offer my students opportunities that I otherwise would not be able. The mobile projector will allow my students to learn anywhere in the school, even outside! Many have already expressed excitement over the ability to do their learning anywhere. I can thank you for that! The drone has not gotten out of the box yet ( I am waiting for a cord to do a software update!), but several students have already come in asking questions and wondering when they will get to fly!

I thank you again for making this opportunity possible!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Unterman

  • **STEM Science**

    Funded Nov 13, 2015

I do not know where to begin to express how much gratitude I have. The package arrived today, and already the students are swimming with curiosity. Science is all about exploring the unknown, and now you have allowed my students this opportunity! The microscope has already allowed my students to see crystalline structure in lab-created bismuth minerals, and hexagonal crystalline structure in pyrite samples. The surround sound bluetooth speaker will give my students an engaging and energized video experience when we begin to work on the rock cycle after Thanksgiving.

I do not even know where to start about the drone. My space exploration class can now accurately model the landing of the Mars Curiosity with use of the drone as a sky-crane. We can learn about flight, drag, resistance, and the effects of wind on landing a flying device.

You have provided so much more for my students than I have ever thought possible.

    Thank you again!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Unterman

  • Tech-Out Our Science Class in Color! Teach with Technology!

    Funded Nov 10, 2014

Thank you graciously for your generous donation to my students. We are excited to receive and begin using our new materials. You have opened the doors to bright new ideas and learning experiences and we cannot wait to dive into our new learning.

I cannot express the importance of the positive impact you have made on my students. Their eyes brightened when I told them we would be receiving new supplies. Thank you again for realizing the dreams and opportunities that young learners need, and contributing to their success.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Unterman

This classroom project was brought to life by UPS Foundation and 4 other donors.
  • Personalize It! Science Edition

    Funded Oct 31, 2014

Thank you so much for your generous donation to my classroom. My students have been able to participate in station activities to personalize their learning on a more advanced level. By providing us with classroom materials, you have allowed students of low socioeconomic status the privilege of learning in multiple ways. My students cannot thank you enough for your generosity, and the amount you have impacted our students education will never go unnoticed. Thank you again for your support in the education of our young learners.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Unterman

  • Flipping Out! The Science Classroom

    Funded Oct 4, 2014

The computers you have provided for my students have allowed me to personalize learning for each and every child. With the computers, students are able to "flip" the classroom, and do more hands-on activities in the room, and more lecture-style videos outside of the classroom.

Many of my students are not able to afford computers at home, and your donation has provided them with a gateway into exploring science more thoroughly. I cannot express how much of an impact you have had on my students and my teaching.

Thank you so much for all you have done,”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Unterman

  • Science is Discovery!

    Funded Aug 27, 2014

I cannot thank you enough for your generous donation to my class. My students will now be able to visit virtual places that they would never be able to visit on their own. My special needs students can listen to repeated instructions as many times as they need to with our Talk Blocks. The students can also play review games and complete webquests to dive deeper in our science topics.

Your donation has truly changed the lives of my students and has bettered their educational experience. My students send their thanks to you for improving their modes of learning and allowing them to venture deeper into the unknown world of the sciences!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Unterman

  • Interactive Science Notebooks

    Funded Feb 12, 2013

Thank you so much! (for the Donation of last years' supplies! My students truly loved the colored pencils and scissors. We got to use them all year for our interactive notebooks and they were able to experience science in color thanks to you! We are going to try to get more supplies this year so my students can experience science in more hands-on and interactive ways. I am hoping to provide my students with a more student-led classroom this year, with more manipulatives for them to discover and explore with. Thank you again, for all that you have done for my students.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Unterman

My 8th graders are explorers! They are active learners who guide their own learning at their own pace. We investigate and explore various science topics both in the classroom and around the school grounds! Please take a few moments to help my students become scientists!
