Paint and Learn!
Funded Oct 27, 2017What a wonderful gift you have given my students! Thank you for creating a space for them to express their creativity.
The paint and materials have provided the much needed materials to do projects. They use the materials to paint letters and pictures to match. They have used the paint to write with feathers like they did Long Ago. They will be using the materials for many more projects as the year goes on.
Thanks to people like you - our projects can come to life! My students and I thank you very much for your support.”

Robotics: Image, Explore, Interact and Learn
Funded Aug 16, 2017Thank you so much for the generous donations to fund this project and make my students so excited for the chance to use robotics in the classroom.
Our school will be participating in the Hour of Code in December. Shortly after that the students will be able to begin using the Bee-Bots and robots that we received. The excitement grows each week as we discuss and plan on how we will use these materials.
The kindness that you have shown my students with your generous donations and support is heart warming. Thank you again for giving and making a difference in so many lives.”

Funded Dec 14, 2016My students were thrilled to see the delivery of two boxes. When we opened them up they screamed with excitement. Thank you for caring and giving so much joy to my students. Having this project funded gave my students the much needed materials to be creative in their many pieces of work. They used the crayons with so many choices of color to create their title pages for their writing pieces to be published. They used the poster boards and crayons to create time lines and giant crayon boxes to display in and outside the classroom. The materials were also used to help us create cards for the military when we participated in our community service project this month. The feathers will be used as a writing tool when we learn about THEN and NOW. This will amaze my students. Thank you so much for your generous donations!”

Independence is the Goal!
Funded Dec 4, 2015I want to THANK everyone of you for your generous donations. The resources are being used on a daily bases during word study time. When the students first saw the materials they were so excited. They were laughing, screaming and literally jumping for joy! These word study centers have really helped the students learn the letters, letter sounds, sight words and how to create sentences. They also helped the students talk about stories and predict what could happen next. Your donations touch many students and help teachers like myself bring the much needed hands-on materials to their classrooms. Thanks again!”

Write and See Clearly
Funded Dec 15, 2014Thank you so much for your generous donations this past school year. The new board made my students cheer with excitement because they could see clearly what was written on it.
We used the board for morning messages where the students were able to write smoothly and clearly. We used the board to play word study games. One side of the board has lines which made it possible for the students to write a story across the board. We also used the board during math with magnetic counters and numbers.
This gift was very useful and hands-on. It made teaching more fun for my students and I feel it helped them to learn. Thanks again for helping me give my students what they need to be successful!”

Funded Jul 24, 2014Thank you so much for the generous donation. I received resources to help my planning and to create positive ways for my students to grow academically. I created an entire questioning board with the use of my resources to help conduct Paideia Seminars once a month with my students. They are beginning to understand and use the questions.
Another way the resources has helped is by enhancing their academic writing skills. The prompts in the resources received and the examples helped me model how to write and helped them know how to speak to each other. We also created a "Growing with Academic Words" tree on the wall which helped the students in reading comprehension and writing skills.
Your funding has helped me reach the children in a different way and I am a better teacher because of your caring nature - THANK YOU!”

Mrs. Soto
Let's Talk
Funded Sep 19, 2014Thank you for the generous gifts. My children were so excited when they saw the puppets and theater to use as they play and learn. I was thrilled to find out that I had been funded because I knew that the materials would enhance my children's learning experiences in a fun and exciting way.
The children have been learning as they role-play and create little plays with paper bag puppets as they perform using the puppet theater. They read the books that came with the puppets (Three Little Pigs, Three Billy Goats Gruff and Goldilocks) as they act out the stories. The energy in the room as this is happening is amazing and it is thanks to your kind hearts.
Each time I present new material the light in my children's eyes shine. You have helped bring the "WOW" back into my classroom and it will continue for years to come. Your generous donation has made a tremendous difference in the lives of so many.”

Let's "Flip" and say "Action" !
Funded Dec 22, 2010Thank you for giving my children such a wonderful gift. The flip camcorder came at the perfect time to film the class performing on stage for our K-1 Share Performance. They loved seeing themselves in action. Some even commented on how next time they will move more or stay calmer because they could see how they looked to the audience. What a wonderful way for self reflection in a non-critical way.
The students have also used the flip camcorder to film the things around the room they are learning about. They are so excited to be the camera person. It makes for a happy environment when hands-on material or equipment can make learning fun and exciting.
Thank you again for your generous gift! It will be used by many children throughout the years to capture important memories.”

This classroom project was brought to life by American Express Members Project and one other donor."Hello from Around the World"
Funded Sep 22, 2010I want to thank you for the generous donation you have given to my class. My children love playing the game. It is a matching game consisting of cards that say "Hello" in different languages. They are now saying hello to each other in new ways and are very interested in the way others speak. This simple activity has opened up their minds to acceptance and to learning more about other cultures.
The puzzle was another great activity for my children. It is in a circular form which was new and exciting, but more exciting was the costumes of the different cultures that are beautifully displayed on the completed puzzle. Some children used the props from the symbols box to dress up. It has made for a great hands-on experience.
I could not have made the world around us come alive without these wonderful gifts that you donated to my class. I can't thank you enough for being so giving. Thank you!!! ”
