Clean Learning
Funded Nov 21, 2021Thank you for the Sight Word Journals. My students love them and use them for homework as they learn new sight words. We also use them in the classroom during literacy center time to review and learn our new words.
The hand sanitizer is placed on each table and used to provide a clean, safe and healthy environment as they have snack time or rotate during center time from one table to another.
The students were so surprised and happy to receive the Sight Word Journals. The parents were grateful because they have a resource that helps them to help their child learn the new words. You are so appreciated by so many - THANKS again for all you do!!”

So many families are struggling and the supplies helped me to help them have the tools they need to work, both in the classroom and for some at home. "Thank You" for all your support - it is truly appreciated!!”

Funded Jul 29, 2020Thank you for the donations toward my books! These books have been so much help in my teaching. The picture books were used in the beginning of the year to help teach students how to read pictures because pictures tell a story too. When students cannot read yet and they are successful storytellers it gives them the confidence to become readers. The books with words were put in the students' book baggies and also used in small group lessons.
Reading in my class now looks different this year due to the pandemic but we are creative and work around the new rules. For example, with the book I Went Walking I changed the word walking to different action words (jumping, running etc.) The students acted out the actions as I read the story by standing behind their chair - since we must stay 6 feet apart.
These books have been a great resource for many uses and I thank all of you for your generous donations!!”

Funded May 29, 2020I want to take this time to Thank all of you for the tools to help me teach my students. I was so happy to get funded and still have time to set up a space as a classroom in my home to continue teaching until the end of the school year.
I used the pocket chart and math cards to work on numbers and different ways to show a number. I also used it to display words and/or sentences for the students to read or correct. I used the magnetic board and letters to teach word families as we changed the word and created new words. I also used it as a dry erase board creating sentences. I also used it to do math number stories and show the work. The writing charts were great for writing small moments and drawing the illustrations to match the words written.
My students were so excited to see the materials and they felt like they were in the classroom. In the Fall, if we are to continue with remote learning, I will be ready because of your generous donations allowing me to create that learning environment. Thanks again!!”

Funded May 20, 2020I want to Thank all of you for the tools to help my students continue to learn over the summer. We all know that students can easily fall behind over the summer. Add to this the pandemic and students learning from home since March. These resources will help lessen the gap and students can begin school in the Fall successfully. I was so happy to get funded and my students were so excited to get their bag of supplies. The parents were also so grateful to have materials they could use to support their children's learning over the summer. Thank you again for your generous donations allowing me to support my students summer learning.”

Funded Mar 29, 2019On behalf of the kindergarten teachers we want to thank you and our students would like to thank you for the supplies and especially for the butterfly kits. The crayons were used daily for numerous activities. The sand was used for word study and for small group centers during literacy center time. The glue sticks were used to create many puppets and different art projects after a read aloud.
The day the butterfly kits came was amazing. The look of wonder and excitement when the students saw the caterpillars were priceless. As they experienced the changes that were occurring our students recorded those changes in their journals. This was the best funded project we have ever received. It made for beautiful conversation and explicit learning as they went through the life cycle of a butterfly.
We want to thank you again for your generous gift and for the life experiences you have given our students.”

Creating Engineers Starting in Kindergarten
Funded Dec 14, 2018My students were so excited to open up the packages to find engineering materials, ramps and balls. The funding came at the perfect time. We just began the unit in science about "Push and Pull" and we were learning about forces and gravity. The hands-on experience these materials gave my students is priceless. The exploration and discovery was amazing and my students had a blast learning. They continue to use these materials during center time and never tire to learn more about why and how forces work. It is truly a blessing to have people care and reach out to help our students learn by giving so generously. Thank you for all you have done - it is truly appreciated!”

Funded Dec 14, 2018My students were so excited to open the boxes when they were delivered to our classroom. They began using the crayons that day. It was nice to have fresh new crayons to start the year. During Family Fun Day we used the crayons to do a project and used words that were in the binders we received to help write. I created a word library in the binders for the students to use when they write. One student used this resource during the 100th Day of School to write one hundred words. We want to THANK you all for your generous donations to this project. I appreciate all you have done to brighten my student's life.”

Funded Jan 29, 2018I want to thank each and every one of you who donated to make this project come to life!
My students love the Big Book and characters that go with them. It enables them to act out the story and they use rich language as they compare and contrast the characters. My ENL students are even speaking beautifully using the animals.
The felt board is another way the students get to act out and retell stories each day. The students are so engaged as they read and learn through the many materials that were bought with your help.
When hands-on materials are used to learn the impact and retention of information is so much higher. I thank you gain for giving my students the extra help to succeed!”
