• Brand New Band Room

  Thank you for your generous support! Our main meeting area is now a welcoming space for students to have one on one conferences as well as small group work. With our office chairs, students can sit across from one another in comfort and be able to converse while also doing some music theory together. In addition to our office chairs is our floating bookshelf. This bookshelf has been a functional-able and fashionable to display awards and student artifacts. The drawers also provide storage space for our student theory books.”

• Crosby Band Computer Upgrade

  Funded May 28, 2020

  Although this "Thank you" is a little late, I realized our impact response was never provided. Thank you again for your generous donations to make this project happen. These items were successfully used in our community for concerts and school-wide projects. I have recently been given the chance to transfer to a new school in which these items will follow me for future projects. Beginning a brand new school from scratch will require a lot of equipment so I am thankful that DonorsChoose allows for the items to travel with the teacher. You can guarantee that the Echo Trail Band program will utilize these items for the needs of future students.”

• Let's Keep Our Band Room Clean and Organized

  Wow! We fully funded this project in less than 24 hours! Our students and I cannot wait for these items to arrive so we can put them to use. Our students will be able to learn music theory more efficiently with our small white boards and our sectional coaches can now enhance their lessons with the magnetic white board. We will also be able to learn better in a clean and organized room!”

• Our Band Sound System Upgrades

  WOW! Not only did we fund our project within 24 hours but we exceeded our goal by and addition $1,600!!! This speaks volumes about the generosity of our community and those who believe in what we do for students at Crosby. These extra funds have been directly deposited into our Donor's Choose account for another project. I plan to review needs in our classroom and design a new project within the week.”

• Out With The Old and In With The New!

  Thank you again for your generosity! Through this project, I have been able to not only increase the amount of online opportunities but also increase the quality of what we publish! We have been able to initiate MORE for our students through this top of the line computer upgrade. Some of these upgrades include the creation of a new Crosby Band YouTube series titled "Coffee with Crosby... and Musicians" in which I am able to interview guest artists from around the world and present these recordings to my students as we learn online. Another initiative has been to launch Crosby clubs online through various software and platforms. The editing and graphic design on this computer is truly amazing and our students have benefited from the quality audio/visual differences.”
