• Rotating Through Novels

  As you know, classrooms are not places with tons of space, so we teachers have to get creative - and that's where you...and this bookshelf came in! This bookshelf has allowed me to display many more of our books in our classroom, in a way that is not only much more organized, but also eye catching, which causes my students to gravitate to these books!

  My students have loved rotating the shelves in search of the perfect book, but are also much more willing to keep it organized, which helps them finish book series!

• March Madness Tournament of Books!

  March Madness is one of our favorite times of the year at our school! As an entire school, we read the same books and vote for our school's favorite. Because of donors like you, my students were able to have the actual books and read them at their seats whenever they wanted. They have been making posters for the books, wanting their book picks to win the entire tournament!

• Koala-ty Readers!

• Rappin' Up Our Lessons!

  Flocabulary is one of our favorite resources in our class! This staff makes our lessons so fun, and you can find my students dancing and singing along to the videos. What is so great about Flocabulary is that there are not only math, reading and science/social studies videos, but there are social emotional learning videos. There are videos that help my students learn different ways to cope and manage their emotions.

• We're All Ears!

  When my students heard that they were receiving headphones, they all CHEERED in our classroom! They are elated that they get headphones...with microphones! The added bonus was the different colors that they came in! These headphones have also allowed my students the accomodations that many of them require, such as listening to passages, to ensure their success in our classroom.

  Thanks to you, my students are able to learn responsibility with their handling of the headphones, able to watch educational videos, and able to work independently on a variety of assignments.”

• Math Incentives!

  My students are super mathematicians! And my students get to earn their ST math incentives after certain milestones in their math journey. All thanks to you, my students can earn charms for their Celebration Strands, stickers for their laptops and chromebooks, and keychains for their backpacks along with their homework passes.

  Thanks to you, my students are able to stay as motivated towards the end of the ST Math journey as they were in the beginning, even as the problems become more challenging.”

• "Koala-ty" Writers on Free Write Fridays!

  Yay! I have been excited for these class tools for so long! Free write Friday is something that my students count on, every Friday, and they can write about whatever it is that they would like. They don't have to worry about a certain prompt, and they get to let their imagination fly! The stories that they wrote in their notebooks are so creative - it is so great to see them love writing!

• March Madness SEL

  These books were introduced to us through our school's March Madness - Picture Book Edition by our Literacy Coach. These books focus on social emotional learning, and the conversations that we had as a class were so eye opening and welcoming to all students in our classroom. Because of you, we do not have to rely on the videos of the books, but my students can read the physical books in our classroom, as many times as they want.
