  • Get Creative!

    Funded Aug 7, 2023

Thank you so much for donating to our project. The students were excited about all the materials that we received. They love to see the boxes come into the classroom and then watch as we open them to see what is inside. It is like Christmas at school for them!

The students have been able to use the materials to create many beautiful pieces of art. They look forward to art projects and it helps to get them excited about the learning.

Again, thank you. Many of our projects would not be possible without donors like you. Funds are limited in schools, and fun creative projects are often cut out of the curriculum, due to limited supplies. Your generosity is appreciated!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Matthews

  • Get Crafty

    Funded Nov 29, 2022

I can not thank you enough for your generous gift to our classroom. My students were so excited to see the supplies, and they could not wait to get their hands on them! We have done so many different projects with the supplies. Two of our favorite projects were the caterpillars and butterflies that they created using pastels and watercolors. As we studied insects, and their life cycles, and watched how a caterpillar changes into a butterfly. The students were able to create the caterpillar and the butterfly as they watched the metamorphosis in real life. Thank you so much, your gift is truly appreciated!!”

  • Classroom Supplies

    Funded Apr 7, 2023

Thank you so much for your generous gift! I really appreciate your willingness to give to our classroom. My students will be so excited to use these materials to create many projects. Art is so fun, and motivating for students. Your gift will encourage students to motivate, create, and learn.”

  • Magnetic Easel

    Funded Aug 9, 2022

Thank you so much for giving to my Easel project! I was so excited when I opened the box and saw my brand-new easel! It has been a game-changer this school year. I am able to easily move the easel around my room so that all students can see the items being displayed. It is magnetic, which makes it easy to use for numerous activities all throughout the day. The students can use the magnetic surface to build words, manipulate letters and numbers, build math equations, and so much more. I really appreciate you giving to this project and helping to make this school year easier for me!”

  • Replenish Our Supplies

    Funded Mar 2, 2022

Thank you so much for replenishing our classroom supplies! It is so frustrating when you begin to run out of needed supplies at the end of the school year. Projects are not completed, fun activities can not be done, and students miss out because there is no money to replenish the supplies needed. But, because of you, my students did not miss out! We were able to finish the year strong. They made the projects, created the crafts, and learned until the last day. It was possible because you were willing to give. We appreciate you and want you to know that you helped our school year end with as much momentum as when it began. Thank you!!”

  • Learning Resources!

    Funded Nov 16, 2021

Thank you so much for donating to my project! I have been able to purchase a variety of resources for my students. Often when our team is planning, we come up with ideas or see holes in our instruction and we develop a plan to implement those ideas or fill the holes. However, many times our big ideas involve purchasing resources that are available through the Teacher's Pay Teachers website. The school does not provide money to purchase those resources so we have to make the purchase with our own money. We do not mind doing that, but it has been such a blessing having the freedom to buy things with the gift card and not having to worry about it financially. All of the kindergarten students at Lakewood Elementary have benefitted from your gift!!”

  • Let's Read and Create!

    Funded Oct 20, 2021

Thank you so much for your donation to my classroom. In our classroom, we enjoy reading and creating. With your gift, I was able to purchase items that allow us to do both!

I was able to purchase a variety of titles that fit in nicely with the curriculum that is taught throughout the year. The students will hear the books as they are read aloud and then will have the opportunity to read them on their own.

The glitter and markers that were purchased will be used to create a variety of responses to the books that are read. My students love to create and the supplies purchased will definitely get their creative juices flowing!

Thank you again for your donation, the books that were purchased will be read and treasured by many students for years to come.”

  • The Gift of Reading!

    Funded Oct 21, 2021

I can not thank you enough for your donation. With your donation, I was able to purchase a book for each kindergarten through second-grade student in our school. The students had a very special day that included a visit from Santa Claus. Santa was able to visit the school and have breakfast with each of the 75 kindergarten students. He read them a story, talked to them individually, and then gifted them with a book to take home. Then Santa was able to visit with each of the first and second-grade classrooms and give them books as well. It was definitely a wonderful day that the students will always remember. Thank you again for your donation and for being part of encouraging a love for reading.”

  • Let's Build!

    Funded Aug 24, 2021

I would like to thank you again for your donation to my project! My students love the materials that were purchased with your generous donation. We have used the materials in a variety of ways. The students use the materials as they arrive at school each morning. After breakfast, they enter the classroom and get out a variety of materials that they use to invent, create, and construct different structures. With the high demands of the curriculum, many times the hands-on, creative, part of learning is left out. This time built into each day, along with the materials you helped purchase, ensure that the students get the time they needed to build and create.”

In the kindergarten classroom many lessons are taught from the comfort of the classroom carpet. However, funds are not available through the school to purchase items like this. My current carpet is very old and torn, which is not good conditions for my students to be using it in. The use of a classroom carpet for seating allows me to speak to the children in a more personal way without the distractions of desks and chairs. All students deserve a clean environment to learn. During the day many literacy, math, and music lessons are taught from this area. I am able to connect with my students as we sit together in a clean, comfortable setting.
