Pre-K Data Tracking
Funded Apr 29, 2022Technology is one of those things we see everywhere. Even though my students are young they are growing up in a world surrounded with technology. Having this iPad in the classroom supports that need for technology. I have been able to use many educational app while working in small group with my students. It has made it easier for me to collect and keep track of data. The fun didn't stop there. Using the apple pencils I let students create a digital drawing on the iPad and then transferred that drawing onto a shirt. The possibilities are endless with this iPad and I'm excited to explore them all. Thank you!”

Funded Feb 2, 2022Thank you so much for your generous donation. Your help has allowed us to get a new carpet and different resources to support our circle time. The new carpet has been wonderful to have in the classroom. Students have their designated spot and that helps when it's time to transition from one activity to the next. I have noticed that students are now so excited to get the day started and get to use our new materials. Not only has their excitement levels have increased but also has their engagement. Thank you!”

Funded Nov 15, 2021Receiving these items have made such a big difference in my classroom. Students where so surprised to see a "fancy machine" and quickly began to wonder what it was for. After explaining what it could for us in the classroom the excitement began. I can't wait to dive into all the arts and crafts activities now that this machine will facilitate prepping all the materials. Funded Feb 3, 2021I want to thank you for donating to this project. The students were very excited when they saw all the boxes arrive in our classroom. We spent time opening them up one by one as their excitement built. They were able to see themselves in the new materials in their classroom. They were able to create self portraits using the accurate materials to represent their skin tone. We we're able to add diverse baby dolls into our dramatic play center and let their imagination run wild. Students were now able to pick up a book and see some that looked like them as the main character. Thank you!”

Good Quality Virtual Learning
Funded Dec 28, 2020As we know this past school year was very difficult having to implement virtual learning in a pre-kindergarten classroom. Your donations were able to give me the resources to provide great quality virtual instruction. Students at home were able to see our class videos with better lighting. The resources allowed me to not be glued to the desk and create more engaging lessons for all my students whether they were at home or school. Funded Aug 13, 2020I want to take this time to thank you for your donations. When I first told my student there was a surprise for them, they couldn't contain their excitement. Being able to personalize some face masks allowed me to get to know my students and their interests. We're currently going through a crazy school year with lots of unknowns. Having these masks for the students gave them a sense of security that is hard to offer right now. Not only were they excited to wear their face mask with their personalized patches, but they were also protecting themselves and others by wearing them. Thank you so much!”

Projects Need Somewhere To Dry
Funded Dec 24, 2019I cannot thank you enough for your generosity. Through your donation we were able to receive a drying rack for our classroom. Previously, any time we had an art project or classroom activities that required paint or glue to dry I would end with 23 papers scattered all over my classroom floor and furniture. Often this caused problems with papers getting stepped on accidentally, paint getting all over my classroom, etc. However, with this new drying rack we have one place where all our projects can lay to dry without them being damaged. Everything is in one place and the students know where. When they first saw the box arrive they were super excited and are even more excited to use it because their projects are now protected. Thank you!”

Funded Dec 2, 2019I would like to take this time to thank you once again for your contribution towards my classroom. Through this project I was able to remove traditional seating from my classroom and incorporate "flexible seating". The wobble stools have made a great impact on the students.
I have seen such an improvement in my classroom once I used the wobble stools. Previously students would be off task, standing, and/or not focused. At this age students have a lot of energy and need constant movement. When using the stools their on-task behavior increased drastically. All students would stay focused on their assignment while sitting and still moving around safely.
When we first received the stools, they each came in their own individual box. This meant when the students walked in to the classroom they saw a mountain of boxes and their excitement and curiosity exploded. It was a special moment to share this gift with them during the holidays. It was perfect timing!”

Funded Mar 27, 2018I want to take this time to thank you for your donations and allowing us to have an apple TV in the classroom. You might be wondering how an apple TV can be incorporated into a Pre-K classroom. The main purpose for the apple TV is to connects to the smart board in the classroom and allow me to project our iPad onto the smart board. Being able to do this opened many opportunities for my students. Being from low income home, many of my students do not have the privilege of owning an iPad at home. We were able to project the iPad on the smart board using the Apple TV and teach my students how to properly use an iPad. What most excited me was that I was not only able to teach my students and model activities with them, but I was also able to teach their families. I held a family engagement night in my classroom where all parents were learned strategies and activities to do at home with their child. The Apple TV allowed me create and awesome presentation and model on my iPad while it was being projected on the smart board. All parents were fully engaged loved the presentation. I had one student who was too shy to participate or speak in front of the classroom. However, after receiving the Apple TV she took ownership of her activities on the iPad and wanted to show them her classmates. Even if she didn't talk, she was still able to stand in front of everyone with the iPad in hand and show everyone. I could never thank you enough for what you have done for my students.”

Funded Oct 13, 2015Thank you doesn't even begin to cover the gratitude I have towards what you have done for my students. When we first received the supplies we had three big boxes in our classroom. The students were very intrigued and curious to find out what was inside, especially when I mentioned that it was a surprise package for them. When I opened the box and started pulling out all the materials there eyes were wide open and their faces lit up the room! They were all very excited and could not wait to being using all the materials.
The iPad and math resources we received were a great way to begin implementing centers in the classroom and have more authentic learning happening. Not only did the iPad bring technology into the classroom, but it also helped me with classroom management. We were able to use a point system app and carry the iPad with us everywhere we went. This truly motivated the students to be on their best behavior.
Since receiving the items we have used them for many lessons. We have learned how to use a base ten blocks with each student having one of there own. We have learned about number lines and are currently learning about money and coin values. I'm confident that my first graders will be prepared for second grade and much more.”
