  • Games For Young Adults With Disabilities

    Thank you again for your generosity in funding the project "Games For Young Adults With Disabilities." Students have been enjoying playing the board games that you have funded, and they have contributed to their education as well. The games include Monopoly, chess, dominoes, and Scrabble. I anticipate that these games will be enjoyed by my students for years to come.

    Social-emotional education is a fundamental part of teaching young adults with disabilities, and these games will play a critical role. Thank you.”

  • Food for Young Adults With Disabilites

    Thank you again for your support of this project, "Food For Young Adults with Disabilities." Students have been regularly taking canned goods home to share with their families and were very excited to receive the materials. Since many of our students come from disadvantaged backgrounds, additional assistance is always appreciated.

    Given that this has been so popular with my students, I likely will do another project of a similar nature next year, and requesting more food for them. I look forward to your continued support.”

  • Drum Lessons for Young Adults With Disabilities

    Funded Aug 29, 2024

    In this weeks that have passed since we received the practice pads, students who are participating have been eagerly learning about drums and percussion. Once a week I have been staying with some students after school and introducing them to different beats and demonstrating proper technique both on their pads and on a drum kit.

    Starting in November, I will be heading a club that meets once a week on Fridays during the end of the day for students that are interested in discussing music and applying their knowledge in a percussion setting. It is because of your generosity that these students have a newfound creative outlet.”
