Trigonometric Essentials

Funded Sep 12, 2022

I am very thankful for your donations to my classroom and my students as it made our available trigonometric resources more widely available. To begin the second semester of this course College Algebra and Trigonometry, the students are required to learn and become comfortable with the Unit Circle. In the past, this was a daunting and dreaded task for my students. Thanks to your donations, I was able to create a white board Unit Circle game that students are greatly enjoying. This has made their learning more fun and given the Unit Circle a less dreaded reputation.

When I first introduced the Unit Circle game to my students, they were excited! I had students lined up waiting for their turn to try it out. Typically students shy away from this task, especially in a more public setting. The resources you funded increased student morale and collaboration.

Thanks to your donations my students were given an enthusiastic start to the second semester that will be filled with trigonometric functions all based off of their knowledge of the Unit Circle. Going forward, we will work on graphing trigonometric functions given values found on the Unit Circle, simplify trigonometric expressions using exact values found on the Unit Circle, and apply this knowledge into real world scenarios. Thank you for everything!”

With gratitude,

Ms. Miller
