My students are in grades K-6th and until last year there had not been art in most of our county elementary schools in over a decade! They are so eager and excited to experiment will all art mediums. Without proper tools, such as these drying racks, students are limited to only dry media such as crayons and pencils and won’t gain the hands-on experience of mixing paint, drawing with glue, or even creating collages due to the inability of storing the projects. In my STEAM integrated artroom, we focus on so much more than “coloring inside the lines”; lessons fuse art with science, writing, history, world cultures and so much more! Art is educational and fundamental. Art helps build problem-solving skills, encourages creative-thinking and ART IS MESSY! It is my hope that with your generosity we can bring the exciting world of art education to these wonderful children that is free from our current limitations.
