By providing these books, you will help increase their academic achievements and allow them to read independently and at their own grade level. You will also inspire a new generation to read, seek out adventures, and make changes in the world. I have asked for a variety of books that cover different interests, reading levels, and cultural stories that represent my students. As a class, we came up with books they would like to read. I then did my own research to find books that other students in similar schools read and made sure each child had a variety to choose from.
