• Pickleball & Badminton for All!

  Thank you for fully funding our new Pickleball/Badminton courts. This is going to be a wonderful addition to our PE program and offer students another healthy activity to engage in during their break times. • Let's Move Together

  Thank you for providing us with financial support for so many PE supplies. These were first utilized when we transitioned back to campus from distance learning and we had additional spacing requirements to meet. Having the extra equipment allowed us to offer many different types of PE activities with these requirements.

  We still continue to use these supplies in our daily PE times. In addition to this, we have also been able to support the PE supply needs at other grade levels.

  Our students would not have had as many options for PE without your support.”

• Blast Off! Learn How to Build & Launch a Rocket!

  We had such a fantastic time building rockets. This was such an awesome hands-on activity. It took multiple sessions to prep the rockets. Students had to carefully construct them and were able to personalize their own rockets. Then we had a celebratory event outside with a launch. This was completed as we transitioned from distance learning back to campus. We were so grateful to be able to provide this learning experience in a safe and productive way.

• Diverse Titles to Build Empathy in a Middle School Classroom

• Sphero Spark+ - Learn to Code with Collaborative STEAM Activities

  Funded Mar 18, 2019

  Thank you for helping us start this journey of coding! Students learned how to do block coding using the Spheros throughout the trimester. First, we did tutorials and then students practiced writing block code. Finally, we had a friendly class competition. It was a Sphero style mini golf course where students had to complete each "hole" in the least number of coding attempts.

  Students were immediately interested in the Spheros upon their arrival. They loved working in teams to complete the challenges. It really helps them improve their team problem-solving skills.

  Now that students have become familiar with the Sphero edu app, they are sharing it with other classrooms. Our hope is that all the classrooms in our school will be utilizing the Spheros in the fall. We also plan to use the Spheros for many more activities in the future.”

• Blast Off! Learn How to Build and Launch a Rocket.

  Funded Mar 16, 2019

  Our entire school just finished launching the rockets. Over the last week, students built, decorated and launched their rocket. Students were especially excited to cheer each other on during the launch session.

  Students were impressed that there were enough rockets for them to build one with a partner. At first, some students struggled with the construction. However, the persevered and everyone had a successful (well almost) launch.

  Thank you for providing this incredible hands-on experience for our students. We hope to provide many more in the future.”
