  • 5 Heads Are Better Than One!

    Funded Sep 30, 2018

Thank you so much for this kind donation to my classroom! With these headphone sets and junction boxes, I have been able to have multiple students listening in on one device at a time, without turning the classroom into chaos! They are able to focus on what they are doing, without being distracted by other groups' computers! It has made project based learning and team coding activities a breeze and my students absolutely love it!

I cannot thank you enough for these tools that have increased productivity and enjoyment in my students! Thank you, thank you, thank you!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Cooledge Fazio

  • Building Engineers with Robotics!

    Funded Nov 16, 2018

I am so excited about this project being funded! I have been wanting to bring a robotics program to my school for quite some time. This donation will allow my students the opportunity to engage in hands on STEM and engineering activities, that will give them skills they can use for the rest of their lives. This will make such a huge impact and I can not express my gratitude enough!

    Thank you!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Cooledge Fazio

  • Graphic Artists Seeking Software

    Funded Feb 1, 2018

I cannot begin to thank you enough for your generous donation to my school. When I told my classes we would be getting the Comic Life software, every single student cheered! Every single student was excited to create their own comic, which got them excited to learn in their classrooms! My 3rd grade classes in particular were able to dive in and create amazing comics that correlated with what they were doing with their teachers. After working with their teachers to read and summarize their favorite stories, they came to me and turned these stories into comics! It was so much fun watching them make story boards to retell their stories, plan what scenes to include and what images to use, and then bring it all to life on the computer. The entire school community has enjoyed reading their comics, and I am always fielding requests to start a new project! Thank you for bringing this love of learning to my school, and opening the door for many fun comics to come!”

  • Positive Behavior Rocks!

    Funded Aug 27, 2014

Thank you all so much for your generous donations to my classroom. Behavior is something that as a school we all struggle with. Our students often lack the motivation to really want to do well. With this new PBIS, Positive Behavior Intervention System, we have put in place, the entire school community has seen great strides in positive behavior from our students.

I don't just mean that our students are listening better, which they are. We have noticed that our students are beginning to care more about each other as well! They are more supportive of each other, and are becoming positive members of our school community.

This program is working for our school, and it's because of your help! Thank you for supplying the extrinsic rewards that are fueling intrinsic motivations!”

  • Magic Carpet Ride

    Funded Nov 26, 2013

Thank you so much for this wonderful donation! The students and I were so excited to receive the new carpet! It has become such a wonderful addition to our classroom decor! The children love the bright colorful new carpet, and are CONSTANTLY asking permission to go to the library to read! They also feel a great sense of responsibility toward keeping our new carpet clean, and I frequently find myself telling helpful students to stop tidying the carpet and get back to work! I love how excited they are! Thank you again so much!”

  • Listen and Learn

    Funded Jun 6, 2013

I cannot thank you enough for such a fantastic donation! The activities have been a tremendous resource for helping me meet the new standards. It's been incredibly difficult trying to come up with lessons and activities to meet these new Common Core Learning Standards, and these tools have made it that much simpler!

These materials have been especially helpful in creating small group activities for my struggling students. I can set them up with an activity center, a set of headphones, and let them explore and learn. It puts my mind at ease knowing that the activities they are doing help them to master these new standards! Not to mention that my students LOVE them! They're always asking when they can get an activity from the Listening Center!

    Thanks again!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Cooledge Fazio

  • Math Magicians!

    Funded Jun 14, 2013

Thank you all so much for your wonderful donation! I was so excited to receive these new math centers for my class! With the new Common Core standards, it's hard to find activities that align to what I am teaching, and these centers are just what I needed! The students love when they see Math Centers on the schedule because they look forward to all the fun "games" they get to play, and I love the fact that they are engaged while reinforcing important math concepts! Your donations really have made a huge impact in our room, and I can't thank you enough!”

  • Dive Into Common Core Language!

    Funded May 11, 2013

Thank you both so very much for such a generous donation to my classroom! When the language games came my students were so excited! They got right into playing and it was so much fun watching them work together to learn! My only wish is that I could have had these materials earlier! My non-readers started to improve at a much quicker pace, and I know if they had these tools earlier they would be much closer to grade level at this time.

I can't wait to be able to start the next school year off right with these games! I can set up learning centers right off the bat, giving the new students more of a chance to learn. Thank you so much for giving us this opportunity!!!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Cooledge Fazio

  • Listening To The Common Core

    Funded Apr 17, 2013

Thank you all so much for you generous donations! These new listening activities have been amazing! I only wish I had received them earlier so I could have been using them all year long! As it is, I have been working on reading skills with my struggling readers and these activity packs have been such a tremendous help! They allow me to zoom in on specific skills my students are struggling with, and give them an activity to help them address these skills independently! And the best part is that it's fun! The students who normally complain when it's time to work on a reading skill, are asking to do the activities! It's truly a sight to behold! Thank you so much for making this happen!!!”

  • Vocabulary is FUN with the Common Core!

    Funded Mar 10, 2013

I can not begin to thank you enough for your very generous donation!!!

My schools goal this year has been to improve student vocabulary. As a school, we've been trying to find fun ways to help improve vocabulary, but it's been a very difficult process. Students are bored with worksheets and weekly tests, and they aren't retaining any of the new words.

These new materials have really helped! The games and activities are so much fun my students ask to do vocabulary work! They love it so much, they are able to work independently in some activities. They are engaged in the activities, and they are LEARNING! Since starting these activities, I have already seen a great improvement in their vocabulary.

I can't wait to be able to integrate these materials in the beginning of the next school year to see even bigger improvements! Thank you again!!!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Cooledge Fazio

I am the technology teacher in my school. My students come to me to learn new and exciting ways to share what they are learning in class. I work with the classroom teachers to create fun digital projects based on what they are learning in class, keeping students engaged in learning! 3rd graders learning how to multiply, create movies playing out number stories requiring a character to multiply. 4th graders learning about New York history create interactive journals depicting a day in the life of early settlers of New Amsterdam. 5th graders learning about being safe on the internet create comics depicting the effects of good or bad choices online. When they come to my room, the possibilities of what they create are endless!
