  • Fuel for Learning!

    Funded Sep 18, 2024

Funding this project has made a world of difference for my students! Many of them come to school hungry and often skip the provided breakfast, but your support ensures they have access to the nutrition they need to start their day strong and ready to learn. The fidgets have also been a game-changer, helping students calm down, refocus, and manage their emotions during challenging moments. Together, these resources are creating a more supportive and focused environment where my students can thrive.”

  • Color Printer for Students

    Funded Jan 24, 2024

Thanks to your amazing support, our classroom has been buzzing with excitement since we got the color printer! Suddenly, everything from charts to diagrams looks so much more fun and engaging, and it's making a real difference in how my students learn. They love the bright, colorful visuals, and I've noticed they're way more focused during lessons. Whether it's a colorful math chart or a creative science poster, these materials are helping tricky concepts stick and making learning feel like less of a chore.

The students can't get enough of the new materials! One student told me the color-coded study guide we printed "makes everything finally make sense." Others are obsessed with the vibrant displays we use for group projects, saying it helps their ideas pop. This printer has turned our classroom into a more exciting and creative space, and I can't thank you enough for making it happen!”

I cannot thank you enough for supporting my students and our classroom. I am deeply committed to creating a space where every child feels valued, inspired, and eager to learn. Your generosity has a tangible impact—allowing us to enhance our lessons, stay organized, and make our classroom a welcoming place to grow. • Zen Zone

    Funded Aug 2, 2023

The new resources have significantly impacted both teaching and student engagement. Students now have the flexibility to choose their preferred learning space, and it's heartening to see them actively utilize the Zen Zone. One memorable project involved integrating fidget tools during a group discussion. The fidgets not only provided a sensory outlet but also allowed students to maintain focus and actively participate in the conversation. Additionally, incorporating yoga balls as seating alternatives during individual work has proven effective in promoting active sitting, contributing to improved concentration and a more dynamic learning experience.

When the students first saw the materials, there was a palpable sense of excitement and curiosity. The introduction of the Zen Zone and the array of seating options sparked interest and enthusiasm. Students were eager to explore the different tools and seating alternatives, recognizing that the classroom was evolving to better suit their individual needs. The initial reactions reflected a positive shift in the learning environment, creating a space where students felt empowered to make choices that enhanced their focus and overall engagement in the lessons.”

  • Materials for Groups

    Funded Aug 2, 2023

The new supplies for the students are a hit! When they first laid eyes on the colored pencils, crayons, markers, and all the good stuff, you could feel the energy in the room. The excitement was contagious. Now, we're knee-deep in some cool projects. One standout is a history-meets-art mashup where the kids are illustrating key events in a way that's as vibrant as their personalities. It's like the classroom turned into a mini art studio overnight. Seeing the students so pumped and getting hands-on with the materials made it all worth it. The creativity is flowing, and it's making our learning space way more awesome.”

  • Incentives For Our Scholars!

    Funded Dec 9, 2022

The students were overjoyed by all the snacks, drinks, and fidgets! We have been using these items for snack time on Fridays and also for incentives for the students to stay on task. Every Friday, if the student has completed their behavior requirements for the day, they are able to pick a treat/snack of their choice and enjoy a movie. When the students first saw all the goodies, they were extremely excited. They wanted to see everything that we received and pick their favorite fidgets. The items we've received have had such a positive impact on our scholar and we are so grateful for your donations!”

  • Cafe Angelou Coffee Cart

    Funded Apr 7, 2022

My scholars have been using the materials in their Café Angelou to further their entrepreneur and social skills. Since we received the materials, the scholars have made over $300(!!!) in revenue. They were able to host a class lunch with the money they earned. When they first saw the new items, they were ELATED! They were literally jumping up and down with joy. With all the upgrades we were able to have our very own storefront during lunch time. We will continue to run Café Angelou for the rest of the fall/winter season and hope to grow even more next year. Thank you again for all of your support!”

  • Zen Zone

    Funded Dec 25, 2021

We can not thank you enough for your kindness and generosity! With your loving donations we were able to transform our Zen Zone from a single beanbag and bookshelf to a calming nook in our room. I was able to set up everything before the students returned to school from their winter break. The excitement and awe on their faces when they returned from break was everything!!! They were so excited and love spending time in the Zen Zone, whether it be for leisure or to calm down following a stressful event. Everything is personalized to fit the needs of each individual student and they take great pride in keeping the area looking nice. We will continue to work on managing our emotions in our new and improved, Zen Zone! Again, thank you from the bottom of our heart!!!! ”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Copeland
