Cantara St. Elementary School is located in Reseda, a city in Los Angeles, CA. 75% of my class are English Language Learners of varying levels. Few of our students come from homes where one or more parents speaks English. Cantara St. Elementary is located in a high poverty area and the whole school receives free lunch. Due to this, most students do not have access to technology or enrichment opportunities at home. However, even with the odds seeming to be stacked against them, they are a strong will group of 5th graders. I truly believe they have to power to achieve greatness.
