Imagine a class of twenty-seven second graders who are eager to fill their minds with knowledge. In this class there are over-achievers, people-pleasers, athletes, readers, and mathematicians. We also have a bunch of wiggly kiddos. It is hard trying to sit still all day. From tipping back in their chairs to being unfocused in the task, my students are telling me they need to move. All the movement breaks in the world won't help when they are supposed to be working in their seats. Our school is a Public Charter school with kids from all walks in life. What they need the most is the chance to all excel.
