With 26 students and 6 student computers, it is a challenge to equitably manage the use of technology in my classroom. Bringing in 3 more Chromebooks will provide the access my students need for research, practice websites, and curriculum websites into their hands everyday. With the emergence of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) in our classroom, I am able to provide my students access to different projects and critical thinking activities with our projector. It is my hope that through the use of the student computers, students will be able to research and build their schema through technology to be successful with these activities. With this donation, I could provide more access to technology within the school day for my students. Our classroom would be larger than the perimeter of our four walls. I have seen the look of awe on my students' faces when they see a video of an erupting volcano after reading a nonfiction article on volcanoes. I would like to provide this opportunity in a small group setting as well.
