Imagine a world in which everyone is bilingual and college-ready. I am a high school ESL teacher. My students are 9th through 12th graders at all levels of second language learning. We are a public school in a high-need community. Students in our ESL program have to work over time to gain the advanced diplomas necessary for acceptance into four-year colleges. Their college readiness requires their successful acquisition of English, along with success in all subject areas. My students would be able to graduate college ready if my classroom were to have access to the right tools to help them to succeed.
