The game is played with two teams of two players. Similar to Volleyball the teams are allowed up to three hits and must service the ball to put it into play. However, instead of hitting the ball over the next the players must spike/hit the ball into the trampoline-like net for the other to team play it. Once the game has begun, players may move all around the net, as there are no boundaries. A team scores a point if they hit the ball into the net and the others players cannot make a play on it and it hits the ground. The rally will continue until a player fails to hit net or they let the ball drop. Spikeball combines aerobic exercise, teamwork, and coordination into a game that can be played almost anywhere. It gives all students the chance to experience an exciting new game with all the healthy benefits that tradition sports offer. It can be enjoyable way for them to lead a healthy lifestyle individually, with friends, and even family. Spikeball will allow all students the ability discover a new sport and maintain a healthy lifestyle.
