Don't Pass This Shot to Help Students Reach Their Goal!

I honestly don't believe my words are enough to express the gratefulness my student-athletes and I feel because of your generosity. If I am honest, it is very embarrassing to be sending this letter a year and a half later, but I also believe it is never too late to say thank you. Today, that is exactly what I want to do. Thank you, donors. My team was able to train at a very high level due to your investment in our program. We were first in our division and landed third in our league. Our only loss the entire season was in the semifinals against the eventual league champion. The ability to train with high-quality equipment may have never come if it was not for you.

The moment my team saw the new soccer balls and unopened boxes with training equipment on them, they went berserk! They kept asking if they could use them, to which I replied, "It's yours." It was truly a joyous occasion knowing that this was the first time many of my players received high-quality, brand new equipment. The cherry on top was seeing their faces when they realized complete strangers cared enough about them to spend their hard earned money for their benefit.

Sadly, (having relocated to Colorado), I am no longer in charge of the soccer program at Mater Academy of Nevada, however, I stay in close contact with my previous players and the current coaching staff. Many of them are now playing in high school, while others are playing club soccer for competitive teams. Your contribution to our program plays a part in their current and future success. As the new generation of student-athletes join Mater Academy, the kindness that you have shown will continue to impact for years to come! Again, on behalf of my team and coaching staff, I send the warmest, most heartfelt, deeply sincere thanks!”
