I am trying to create a learning lounge in a spare classroom for our 3/4/5 grade students to use while in this space. The students will be able to use fun, comfortable seating to enjoy a good book or work with teachers and peers. The space will be inviting and promote leisure reading activities. The current space is lacking an area for quiet reading and working collaboratively. The configuration of the furniture will allow students to arrange the seating to meet their specific learning needs. The space will also include a futon, pillow chairs, an electric pencil sharpener, and two kidney bean tables for small group work.
