Exploring Our Interests
Funded Feb 28, 2019My students are well into exploring their new cube, cash register, and wooden bead maze! They enjoy getting the opportunity to take turns in their new cube! They also love pretending to be a cashier and playing with the wooden bead maze!
My students enjoy having the opportunity to explore the new toys and cube on a weekly basis in the classroom. Since receiving them my students are motivated to complete their work because they know they will have the opportunity to use the cash register and wooden bead maze! By having these items in our classroom, my students are able to express what they want to play with or sit on!

Funded Dec 29, 2018My students are well into exploring their name plates! They enjoy getting the opportunity to see their name at their seat! I also love seeing seeing them use the number line and letter line. It has helped them write the numbers and letters correctly!
My students enjoy having the opportunity to explore their name plates. When they are confused about how a letter or number looks, they no longer ask me to model for them. They are able to independently look at the name plate and find it! By having these items in our classroom, my students are able to complete their work independently.

Funded Dec 29, 2018My students are well into exploring their tie die kits! They enjoy getting the opportunity to make different designs on all the shirts we received! I also love seeing how creative they are! For example one of the students figured out how to make a circular shape on their shirt.
My students enjoy having the opportunity to explore the tie kits on a weekly basis in the classroom. Since receiving them my students are motivated to complete their work because they know they will have the opportunity to use the tie dye kits! By having these items in our classroom, my students are able to express what they want on their shirts.

Basic Supplies for Not So Basic Students
Funded Dec 31, 2018My students were so excited to receive their write and wipe boards, numbers lines, and alphabet line! It was all they could talk about. Many of my students said the same thing, "No one had ever given them a gift like this before." They truly appreciate your support.
My students use all of these on a daily basis in the classroom. After they finish their math work, they grab a write and wipe board where they picture solving addition problem. When they are unsure of how to write a number they immediately look at their number line on their desk! Later in the day when we are writing the students use the alphabet line to help them form letters and figure out the beginning sounds in each word. By having these items in the classroom, my students are able to get the repetition they need to learn a skill.
My students are motivated to come to school on time because they have resources that help them be successful students. Finally, they enjoy getting feedback from everyone in the classroom. My students love hearing they did a good job!

Funded Dec 31, 2018My students were so excited to receive their laminating paper and Velcro! It was all they could talk about. Many of my students said the same thing, "No one had ever given them a gift like this before." They truly appreciate your support.
My students use binders on a daily basis in the classroom. Each page in the binder is laminated, so that the students can reuse each page. Three times a week they need to match their colors and shapes. All of those pieces are attached to velcro They also have to trace letters, lines, and shapes. Finally the students need to put their numbers in order and touch count various items. All the pages are printed in color and laminated so they can be reused. By having these items in the classroom, my students are able to get the repetition they need to learn a skill.
My students are motivated to come to school on time because they have start their day with a fun and engaging activity. Finally, they enjoy getting feedback from everyone in the classroom. My students love hearing they did a good job!

Capture Our Best Sides!

My students use the camera on a daily basis in the classroom. Since receiving the camera my students have become more verbal about expressing when they want their picture taken. For many of them they want their picture taken for the "Wall of Fame" in our classroom or to show their parents their work. By having the camera in the classroom, my students are becoming more verbal.
My students are motivated to come to school because they know they know they will have the opportunity to show off their work. Finally, they enjoy being able to use the camera themselves.

Snacks for Little Learners
Funded Dec 29, 2018My students were so excited to receive their snacks! It was all they could talk about. Many of my students said the same thing, "No one had ever given them a gift like this before." They truly appreciate your support.
My students eat the snacks on a daily basis in the classroom. Since receiving them my students have become more verbal about expressing their needs and wants. When they become hungry they will ask for a snack or if at snack time we give them something they do not like they express they do not like it and would like a different one. By having these items in the classroom, my students are becoming more verbal.
My students are motivated to come to school because they know they will have a snack during the day. Finally, they enjoy being able to pick the snack they would like for the day.

Celebrating Reading and Writing
Funded Oct 8, 2018My students were so excited to receive their birthday coupon books, picture writing prompts, and a reading intervention binder! It was all they could talk about. Many of my students said the same thing, "No one had ever given them a gift like this before." They truly appreciate your support.
My students use the picture writing prompts and the reading intervention binder daily. They love writing about the various pictures they receive and enjoy using the keywords that are provided. The reading intervention binder has also been an amazing addition to our classroom. For my students who have been struggling to identify their letters by name and sound, they are now able too! They enjoy playing the games that come with the binder. By having these items in the classroom, my students are able to get the repetition they need to learn a skill.
Each month my students have an opportunity to pick out a book from Scholastic that they would like to bring home and share with their family. They enjoy looking threw the magazine and picking a book out. When the books arrive they get so excited to practice reading them in the classroom and then to take them home to share with their family.
My students are motivated to come to school on time because they have start their day with a fun and engaging activity. Finally, they enjoy getting feedback from everyone in the classroom. My students love hearing they did a good job!

Meet Mat Man
Funded Jul 24, 2018My students were so excited to receive new containers, Mat Man, and access to the website LessonPix! It was all they could talk about. Many of my students said the same thing, "No one had ever given them a gift like this before." They truly appreciate your support.
My students use Mat Man, the containers, and LessonPix daily in the classroom. Before writing each day we build Mat Man to remind us of what people look like. After we finish we place MatMan into his container. We also use the website LessonPix to help us communicate our needs and wants. We print out pictures that show what we want to communicate to our teachers and peers. By having these items in the classroom, my students are able to get the repetition they need to learn a skill.
My students are motivated to come to school on time because they have start their day with a fun and engaging activity. Finally, they enjoy getting feedback from everyone in the classroom. My students love hearing they did a good job!
