  • Gratitude Through the Arts

    Funded Nov 14, 2024

I am thrilled to share the impact your generosity has had on my students and their creative journey. Thanks to your support, we were able to provide the rolling pins essential for our Commemorative Plates of Gratitude project, giving students the tools they need to bring their artistic visions to life.

The excitement in the classroom was immediate when students started using the rolling pins. These tools have made a significant difference in our ceramics studio, ensuring that each student can evenly roll out their clay slabs before shaping them into plates. With this solid foundation, they've been able to focus more on the intricate details of their designs that represent symbols of gratitude.

Many of my students use ceramics as a form of self-expression and emotional processing, and this project has given them an opportunity to channel their creativity in a meaningful and personal way.

Thank you for empowering my students with the tools they need to create, reflect, and grow as artists. Your support has not only enriched our classroom but has also helped each student create something deeply personal and meaningful.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Gray

  • Let's Cut Some Clay!

    Funded Aug 26, 2016

Thank you all sooooo much for your generous donations. Many of our students at Tustin don't have much financially, but they overflow with gratitude for what you have done to support them. I am privileged to work with these students every day, and I am so grateful as well. This was our first attempt at using donors choose and I look forward to other opportunities to help our students. THANK YOU!!!! THANK YOU!!!! THANK YOU!!!!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Gray

There are many stages included in the artistic process. This includes inquiry about a topic that includes research and documentation. Students then need to sketch out ideas and collect additional research materials. Then during making students need to document in progress critiques and reflections. Then finally create artist statements and reflections. Artists need the ability to document and reflect on their progress. Collecting evidence of all this learning is an important step in the realization of learning outcomes and progress. These binders will assist us in keeping this documentation safe and organized. Check out some of the projects we make at www.tustinceramics.com
