This classroom project was brought to life by Google.org and 8 other donors.A World of Books
Funded Feb 20, 2019Thank you so much for your donation! My students are extremely happy and thankful to be reading new and more challenging books. They are more enthusiastic than ever to build up their reading stamina, improve their reading levels and experience new adventures through their new books.
In addition, they have developed a better sense of community by talking to their classmates about the new books they are reading. Moreover, they are now more willing to work together and share reading strategies to help them get through the complexity of many of their books.
Finally, your donation has contributed to bridging our students academic and home lives because they are now more interested in taking books home to read to their families and have conversations about.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Pimentel
Help Us Learn, Grow and Talk about It!!
Funded Mar 11, 2018Thank you so much for your donations! My students and I are deeply thankful and thrilled to have new books and better technology to further our love for reading and learning. Your donations have allowed my students to develop a deeper understanding of kindness and how someone's actions can have a greatly positive influence on someone else's life. Class 277 got right to work with the materials you have provided for us. They have buried themselves in their books and are having meaningful conversations with their classmates about what they are learning from them. In addition, they are pushing themselves to make meaning of the texts and apply their understandings about the texts to their everyday lives.
As a result of your donations, my students are now more confident that they have many people rooting for them, for their success, and this is motivating them to try harder to accomplish their current academic goals and to pave the way for new goals to come.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Pimentel
