I teach 4th grade in an urban, Title One, public school. At my school we provide breakfast, lunch, security, love, and an education. My students are enthusiastic, bright, creative students who come from diverse backgrounds but most have limited exposure to technology, learning resources, and the world at large.
The parents of my students try to do their part to help out and purchase the supplies their children need, but the fact is that many of them are facing serious financial constraints of their own.
