  • Help! We Need Ink to Print!!!

    Funded Oct 4, 2017

Thank you so much for the ink you provided for our classroom. I have put it in good use and have printed several handouts in the comfort of my own classroom. The amount of time I save just by printing from my classroom is amazing! Last minute class activity, no problem, I can just print it from my class. The copy machine in the work room isn't working, no problem, I can print if from my printer! :) These things may seem like little things to everybody but to a teacher they are little miracles! Thanks again for your support in the education system, you rock!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Karapetian

  • HELP! 38 Kids in a Small Classroom!

    Funded Jun 21, 2017

I cannot thank you enough for supporting our classroom. When I found out that we are going to get a shed outside of our classroom, I was beyond excited! I have been storing everything in my classroom and it has been difficult to move around.

The space under my computer tables have been cleared and there is more room to move in my teacher corner have been emptied and if feels like there is more room to breathe! The kids even feel the airiness in our classroom.

Once again, I am very grateful for your love and support. IT's people like you who always help our educational system! It is appreciated and doesn't go unnoticed!”

  • 38 Kids and No Room!

    Funded Jun 9, 2017

I am beyond grateful for your generosity. These seat pockets have been a lifesaver for my students and myself. As you can see in the photos, the binders and papers fit perfectly in the pockets of their chairs. These binders used to be on or under their desks which was a headache to deal with. My students and parents are happy with them also because it is an easy way to remember to take assignments/books home. Keeping organized is very important, I believe it is the key to success. Thanks again for your heartfelt donation, we are all so thankful!”

  • Help Us Recycle and Reduce at Our School

    Funded Jan 10, 2017

Thank you so so much for your donations towards my project. We have been utilizing the recycling program school wide since late February and have raised $157 towards our trip to AstroCamp. We have dispersed all the bins around the school and gathered a group of parents who are in charge of collecting the cans/bottles and taking them to recycling centers. The money raised with the funds helped pay for the kids who couldn't afford to take the 3-day trip. So not only are we helping the environment by recycling, we are also raising money for students in need. We can't thank you enough for helping us make this possible.”

  • A Teacher in Desperate Need of a Laptop!

    Funded Aug 21, 2016

Thank you so much for your contributions! I was dealing with a laptop that was about 10 years old which made my life so difficult! Thanks to you I do EVERYTHING on my new laptop. Once I received my laptop, my class and I were so excited but the best part was discovering it has a touch screen, that blew my mind. We have been using it for online math games and it has been so much fun.

It is people like you who help educators like me have a better impact on our children, especially when it involves technology. I can't thank you enough for your good deed. THANKS!!”

  • Better Environment = Healthy Kids = Better Learners

    Funded Jan 29, 2016

Thank you very much for your donations! The humidifier has been used on several occasions this year. It was especially used on those dry and cold days. The kids notice the mist once in a while but the machine doesn't make a sound or disturb the students as they work, it is amazing! This was one of the best items I've requested. It is because of parents like you who are constantly support us that make our job much easier. Your thoughtfulness and caring personality makes a big impact in my classroom. I am forever thankful for your donation,”

  • Help Us Brighten Our Education with Art

    Funded Sep 15, 2014

Thank you so much for your generous donation! My students were so excited to hear the great news! They worked with the clay to create creatures using their imagination. They then put the creature in a setting on paper using the pastels that were provided. Finally the children spend two class sessions writing a story and bringing their character to life. The students couldn't wait to share their creatures and story with their family. The art took their writing to a whole new level. Thank you so much for your support!”

  • We LOVE Books!

    Funded Apr 1, 2014

Thank you for your donations to my classroom. My students were thrilled to hear that we were getting a new set of horror stories. Once they had arrived, they all wanted their hands on it. Since we had gotten the entire series, there was no problem sharing in my classroom. I was even hearing them talk about their books during their recess, that is when you know that they are into it. As a result, I saw them accessing my dictionaries a lot more often to define unknown words. I believe because of your donations, you have helped children build a love for reading. They realize that reading doesn't only have to be for academics, it can be for pleasure as well. I also noticed an increase on my students fluency, without you, this wouldn't be possible.”

  • Help! 3 Computers And 3 Printers But No Ink!

    Funded Dec 3, 2013

I cannot thank you enough for helping me get some ink for my printers. My job has been much easier now then it has been. Creating worksheets and a print rich environment for my students has been a breeze. I can create something, print it and make multiple copies of it from our schools copy machine in minutes. I have also been using my printer with a scanner to make color copied visuals of useful material in my class.

People like you make a teacher's job much easier and enjoyable. Thank you for your support in my classroom.”

  • "Reading is Boring!"

    Funded Jan 30, 2012

I want to start off by saying thank you for funding my proposal. My students really enjoyed reading their monthly newsletters and found it very educational. They enjoyed reading them so much that they didn't even realize it was educational. Every topic was related to their favorite television shows, video games, current affairs and etc..

You have helped make a difference in the future of our children. It is people like you who have always helped teachers go that extra mile to help our students become successful. Thank You!!!!”

I am a teacher who teaches a classroom full of fifth grade students. I have been working with LAUSD for 18 years and loved every second of it. Making my visions come to life in my classroom was what I accomplished each year. Working with kids and teaching them the unknown is what keeps me doing what I do best. This year I am the coordinator at my school, this allows me to access and support multiple classrooms. I envision assisting all the childr4en and teachers at our school the best I can. Thank you in advance for helping my classroom! You are the one who make teacher's dreams into reality. ❤️
