Healthy Snacks for a Happy Heart!
Funded Dec 5, 2017It was a happy day when these snacks arrived! We want to thank all of our generous donors so much. We have been able to enjoy a healthy boost of energy for so long now and we still have snacks left! We are so grateful for the wonderful people who decided to give to our project, it still astounds us when our projects are funded - we do not take these kindnesses for granted. The students just love all the snacks and have demonstrated a generosity and desire to share them with others - and so we have! We feel so fortunate and thankful.
Thank you so much to everyone!”

Funded Jan 16, 2018Your generosity and support means so much to us! So many of our students' families are not able to provide the kind of supplies that they need to have a clean and comfortable day at school. These disposable underwear and adult diapers are providing our older students with autism a great deal of comfort and dignity. Being able to have these supplies on hand for our students is such a blessing, these items are quite pricey and it is such a relief to have back-up supplies and to not have to ask the families to send them is so nice. We are so grateful and so appreciative of the donors who have so generously given to our project and all projects here on DonorsChoose.org.
Thank you again, so much!”

Funded Nov 29, 2017Thank you so much for your generous contributions to our project! We are having so much
fun with our button maker! It took us awhile to get the hang of it, but now we are making the most fabulous buttons and it won't be long before we will need to restock our supply! There is just something so fun about pin-back buttons that you can make yourself, the students have not even come close to running out of ideas. We have made them with our photographs, we have made them with our PBIS expectations, we have made them for special people for special days and are just having the best time. We all are really enjoying them especially to give away because people just love to receive them, in particular if has been designed with the recipient in mind! Thank you so much for your continued support to so many teachers and thank you for simply making our days so much brighter with your kind donations!”

Funded Aug 25, 2017We want to thank you so much for your kind generosity! We are going to have so much fun with this project! We are going to design puzzles and brain teasers to create a game in which the winners will figure out the clues and be able to open the boxes! Of course, the final box will have a nice little prize in it! We are having a lot of fun just thinking about all the different ways we can design the fun! As it turns out, we need a little practice simply opening combination locks so that is where we have started our journey with this project. We are going to start easy and work our way up to some real tough puzzles. We just know it is going to be a blast and we would not be able to engage in this fun without your very generous donations to our project.
We frequently have a hard time explaining to our donors how very appreciative we are and we would really like for you to know that we are extremely grateful for your help.
Sincerely,”
With gratitude,
Ms. Campbell
High Fives to Hygiene!
Funded Nov 27, 2017I have been very excited to share these personal care products with our students who have been very excited to receive them! So far we have put together personal care kits for 8 students and we are just getting started! The students are very appreciative and we are all very thankful for your generosity that has allowed us to get these much needed items.
We were so surprised to see that our project had been funded so quickly and with the help of Student Life Essentials Supporters and one very generous donor we are now equipped to be able to take better care of our personal hygiene needs. We always have a hard time putting across in words the gratitude that is in our hearts. Please know that we are just so very thankful.
Sincerely,”

Funded Aug 25, 2017We want to express our tremendous gratitude for your generous donation to our project to buy ink for our color printer! It might not seem like the most exciting project to which to donate, but what a difference it makes to us and we thank you for it! Being able to print out pictures in color makes such a difference in our bulletin boards, our book reports and so much more.
We posted a picture of a Thanksgiving activity sheet in both color and black and white in order to show you the incredible difference the color makes in our work. For some students, just knowing that they will have the opportunity to print their work out their book reports in color inspires them to do a better job and apply more effort.
Thank you so much for helping us to be inspired by our work!”

Funded Sep 14, 2017We are having so much fun with this project! The students are just so excited about being able to paint the garden! We are taking it slowly as we decide what and how we should paint. We were all in agreement about painting the rusty gate and now are discussing exactly how many colors we want to use on it - they want to use the rainbow of them and I really do not want to stop them! We are testing some of the durability of the paint on pots. The students love painting the letters of the crops onto the pots and it is truly amazing what a huge difference this color is having even though we have not really done that much yet.
We really want to thank you so much for helping us to make our garden even more beautiful that it already is - and we do think our garden is lovely!
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!”

Funded Aug 8, 2017We want to thank you so much for helping us to get some much-needed math tools and study helps for our students! We received enough dry-erase math charts so that every elementary student in the school has one! We just started a new math curriculum this year and these charts are just custom-made for our needs!
The students learn so much better when they can visualize the concepts and the base-10 blocks definitely help with that! I had no idea how much the students were going to love the privacy dividers! These are small cardboard tri-fold boards that offer a bit of privacy and are sometimes used in testing situations. They ask to use them all the time!
Because of your generosity our students now have some tools that will make learning math much easier. We are always so astounded by the benevolent people who find their way to DonorsChoose and we feel so proud and fortunate that we are able to be recipients of such generosity.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

Funded Jun 21, 2017Our school garden has turned out to be one of the most popular activities for so many at our school! We started our garden in the Fall of 2016 with a small group of student gardeners and our group continues to grow. Right now, I have so many gardeners that we have to come out in small groups or we can't move about - but, that is a very good thing! The students love learning about growing plants and are very interested in eating our crops. When they grow it themselves they are more inclined to try things they might not otherwise. Kale, chard and radishes are three examples of vegetables that these students has never had, but were very willing to try. Another wonderful experience for them was planting seeds that grew into plants and then produced more seeds that could then be planted! The students did that with marigolds and beans and are very hopeful to do it with sunflowers this year! As we continue to keep our garden growing we turn, time and again, to the wonderful and generous donors of DonorsChoose to help us with our garden needs. The pots, dirt and Miracle-Gro that you helped to supply made it possible to continue and we could not do it without you. The students continue to have great ideas for our garden and your help makes it happen.
Thank you so much from me, Ms. Campbell, and all the many student gardeners at our school!”

This classroom project was brought to life by The Clorox Company and 7 other donors.Inky Dinky Don't! We Need Ink!
Funded Jul 7, 2017We cannot thank you enough for your kind contribution to our classroom. Ink might not be all that exciting to some, but to us it is a very, big deal! We take a lot of photographs of the work that we do and as ways to document of days and when it comes to photographs, color is essential! Being able to print out our pictures in color makes it all that more exciting when we are taking them. We documented our first day of school and made a display for the front hall that would not have anywhere near the impact on everyone had it been printed in black and white. We also have been able to create learning tools that are useful with the color ink. An addition chart really needs that color differentiation in order for students to be able to use it efficiently - and the same goes for the Periodic Table. With the ability to print in color we are able to learn better! Having the ability to print in color also makes creating signs, posters, and other documents much more satisfying. Color just makes everything better and we really appreciate your help in getting these ink cartridges which we could not be able to afford otherwise.”

Ms. Campbell
