Future Engineers
Funded Oct 10, 2021My third grade students are loving all of the household items for STEM projects. Their faces lit up as the principal and secretary brought in the Amazon boxes. As we opened the boxes my classroom was filled with pure excitement. It warmed my heart to see them get excited about plastic spoons, paint, and paper plates.
Now that I have plenty of supplies, I have incorporated several projects for all subjects. In Science the students will create a diorama for an animal habitat after reading "Race the Wild". In Math students will assemble multiplication spiders to practice multiplication facts and at the end of the year create their own math board game. Social Studies projects are always so much fun and the students will read a "Who Is" book and then build the character they researched using a coke bottle and other supplies that were donated.
I am thrilled to know that I can plan STEM activities in all subjects without the worry of buying supplies. Thank for your supporting our FUTURE!”

4th Grade STEAM
Funded Apr 13, 2020I wish I could say there was more of an impact at this time with the resources that were graciously donated. However, with COVID I have a virtual classroom this year. All of my third grade students except 1 are using technology to interact in the classroom from home.
It is my prayer that my students will return to school in January and we can resume engineering projects. I long to watch their faces light up and observe true "light bulbs" as they learn through hands on projects. This is a difficult time in teaching, but I know teachers and students can persevere and strive for greatness.
My students may not be currently using these amazing products, but I know this is a season and it will pass. I appreciate all the support and love your donation brings into my classroom.”

Gearing Up for Fourth Grade
Funded May 2, 2019My fourth grade students love the resources that were donated. Their reaction was surreal. As a teacher, I can testify that sometimes our resources are limited with hands on items that are engaging and educational in a classroom.
The items donated are aiding students in expanding their vocabulary skills, phonics, language skills, and enhancing their learning. It is a hoot to watch them interacting together in stations. I love seeing their smiles! This means they are enjoying their education and learning is transferring from short term to long term memory!
As the year progresses, I hope to continue to engage my students in different avenues of learning, including STEM projects that encompass all subjects. Your support as always is very much appreciated! God bless and thank you.”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Green
Leaders Are Readers
Funded Aug 22, 2018Thank you for graciously giving to my classroom to assist in creating life long readers. My students asked daily about the seat sacks and chapter books. When the secretary delivered the box of seat sacks to our room, you would have thought it held a million dollars. The kiddos were thrilled! They absolutely treasure the seat sacks. Some days, I think I see them "petting" the sacks. When we received the delivery of the books the kids let out squeals and could not wait to put their hands on the books. It is funny to watch them because they do not know which book to choose first. I guess decisions can be tough when you are in third grade. I love the energy these resources have brought to my classroom and the smiles that are plastered on my students faces. Thank you from the depth of my soul.”

Funded Aug 22, 2017My scholars were thrilled as our boxes from donorschoose came to the classroom. The squeals and huge smiles warmed my heart. As my scholars opened the boxes you would have thought it was Christmas. They gave each other high fives and wrapped their arms around the science tools and materials giving them big squeezes.
They are enjoying recording their thoughts on the large sticky notes. The magnifying glasses are a big hit as many of my scholars have never used this tool. The seed kits were examined continuously for an hour with total engagement and excitement. The take home folders are their personal favorites because they use them daily to communicate with parents and I allowed them to personalize the folders with their own drawings.
Our class just finished a unit of classifying animals. The large sticky notes were used for recording research notes and construction paper for sorting their pictured animals.
In the future we will plant our herbs and veggie garden while observing and recording the growth of the plants. Along with this project we will grow bean plants in the sprout and grow window to observe roots.
Many thanks to our donors. My scholars tell me everyday how "Science Rocks!"”
