Tablets to Meet All Student Learning Goals
Funded Feb 5, 2024Thank you for your generous donations that allowed my class to get additional tablets.
My students use the tablets to access math practice targeted to their individual level. They can choose from over 40,000 books on Epic to read or listen to a story being read. They use a program Freckle that provides stories and comprehension questions which help in building their reading stamina and comprehension strategies. They use Prodigy reading and math too!
Students access a variety of resources on the tablets that we don't ordinarily have in our classroom. It provides a different way to practice skills and my students are so engaged when learning and practicing on the tablets.
Thank you for your generosity,”

Creativity on the Move
Funded Mar 27, 2024Thank you so much for your generous donations to my classroom project. My students will be so excited to have access to art supplies and the flexibility to work around the classroom with flexible seating. My students are so creative and now they will have even more flexibility to collaborate and show what they know!”

Funded May 15, 2023Thank you so much for your contributions towards my project, Learning About One Another. Students are so happy to have a comfortable place to sit on a carpet. The carpet is a place we gather for our morning meeting. Having sectioned areas, students can understand how to have enough personal space for everyone to be comfortable.
Students have started to read the Who Was and What Was books. These books provide additional information on important people that have helped shape our country. Reading books about Louis Braille, Ellis Island, the Declaration of independence and a book about world wide leaders helps students understand our history.”

Funded May 10, 2023Thank you so much for your generous contributions to new tablets for my classroom. The students are so excited to have so many resources available! My students love to play Prodigy, which is a math app and the students get to pick avatars and earn points to create customized avatars, all while practicing math skills and completing assignments. It's so rewarding to see the kids so invested in their learning.
Many of my students use Epic for multiple reasons. One thing I like the most is that students using Epic can choose from independent reading as well listening to stories. For students who are still developing their reading skills, Epic gives them the chance to listen to interesting stories of choice and help foster the love of books. It meets the needs of all my students.
Thank you for your generosity.”

Funded May 12, 2023Thank you so much for your donations to fund a class set of high quality headphones! Headphones help students as they are working on tablets. The high quality allows students to hear better and block out distracting classroom sounds.
Students listen to audio books, learning videos, practice math facts and math skills. The student enjoy being able to listen much more clearly than if they do not have headphones. Assigning each student a pair of headphones also increases their accountability to make sure that they are taking care of the classroom materials.”

Funded Feb 13, 2020Thank you so much for your contributions that helped fund meeting the needs of diverse learners. I can't tell how big the impact is to have students be able to access multiple resources in the classroom. Students are at different places with their learning. By utilizing tablets, I am able to provide meaningful and targeted practice to students. Students also use the tablets for enrichment, to add to what we are learning. Students love learning and when they have choice in projects, it helps increase their engagement.”

Learning on the Move!
Funded Nov 4, 2019Thank you so much for your donations to Learning on the Move. The white board is on wheels and it allows me to move it around to different areas of the classroom.
Students need to move! It is hard for them to sit all day at a desk. By having a flexible whiteboard to move around the room, it gives me more flexibility to teach in small and large groups around the room.
The whiteboard is used to help provide visuals to students. Students learn through listening and also seeing pictures, words and visuals to make meaning of their learning.”

Comfy Carpet Time for Learning
Funded Oct 24, 2019The carpet has been such a useful tool to have in the classroom. We use it for morning meetings, whole class instruction and flexible seating.
Students love to gather on the carpet. They often use scoop seats to collaborate with peers or to give themselves a quieter place to work.
I am so grateful to have a carpet that serves as the focal point of our classroom gathering together. Students are able to better collaborate and be comfortable while they do it! Our concrete floors have a very thin carpet so softer carpet makes working on the carpet cozy!”

Let's Get the Wiggles Out!
Funded Feb 24, 2023Thank you so much for your generous donations towards my classroom project. The students were thrilled to find out we would be able to get the wobble seats! To have 10 of them makes them accessible to many students.
My students have been using the stools every day. The flexibility to have choice in how you are sitting and working while completing independent work or group work help the students make the best choices for what they need.
These stools are a great addition to other flexible seating options in the classroom. Thank you for your support!”

Individualized Independent Practice
Funded Apr 15, 2021Thank you so much for your generous contributions towards my classroom project. My students all have access to tablets to help provide them with differentiated skills practice and engaging games that enhance their skills. We are beginning animal research projects and for each student to have access to a tablet while searching for research tools provides them with the information that they need to write their reports. They are able to watch educational videos to help them see their animals in their natural habitat as well. In addition, they are getting differentiated daily math fact practice and a fun game to practice math skills. Who knew learning could be so much fun? I am so grateful for your support.”
