Can You Hear Me Now?
Funded Mar 27, 2024Thank you immensely for your generous contribution to our project. With your support, we now have the capacity to expand sound amplification to another area of the school, alleviating concerns about the custodial sound system being occupied elsewhere. Every year, we host an event called Music in the Parks over three to four weekends, and it's consistently challenging to secure an adequate number of microphones and speakers for the various performance venues. This new system will enable us to address this specific issue effectively. Your backing holds significant value for both our students and our program.”

Funded Mar 27, 2024We deeply appreciate your invaluable assistance in bringing this remarkable project to fruition! The incorporation of vocal solos into our Jazz Big Band library aligns perfectly with our long-standing objective. This infusion significantly enriches our repertoire, offering a broader spectrum of selections to showcase the exceptional talent of our vocalists alongside our esteemed Jazz Ensemble.
Your understanding of the pivotal role music education plays in students' lives is truly commendable. Your generous donation not only benefits our current ensemble members but also lays a foundation for future generations to thrive. After all, sheet music never loses its value! We earnestly anticipate seeing this music utilized and cherished for many years to come.
Your support is indispensable to us, and we are profoundly grateful for it!”

Funded Feb 28, 2024We greatly appreciate your support for our Marching Percussionists! These bass drum mallets from American Drum are truly top-tier, alleviating any concerns about replacement for at least the next five years. Typically, I allow my players to use bass drum mallets until they wear out, which can span anywhere from one to five years depending on their activity level during a season.
American Drum consistently delivers outstanding products, and having a surplus of their mallets on hand is a tremendous asset. This ensures we can dedicate our focus to other aspects of our program, rather than diverting resources to equipment purchases.
Your continued support is indispensable to maintaining the high standard we've achieved. Thank you once again for your generosity!”

Trombone Cases
Funded Jan 23, 2024Thank you immensely for your generous donation and unwavering support for the students in our program. Although the trombone cases I initially requested were unavailable, I managed to procure suitable alternatives at a lower cost, leaving us with surplus funds to obtain additional necessary items. Enclosed are photos showcasing our recent acquisitions:
Five trumpet stands
Ten guitar wall hangers
Six clarinet thumb cushions
Six high-quality trombone cases
With the surplus, I even secured a couple of spare trombone cases, ensuring swift replacements in the event of future breakages. None of this would have been possible without the kindness and support of our broader musical community. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you!”

Trumpet Mouthpieces
Funded Dec 14, 2023We are truly grateful for your generosity. The trumpet students have taken pleasure in experimenting with a diverse range of mouthpiece sizes and shapes. Identifying the perfect mouthpiece can be a time-consuming process, but with our expanded selection, I can now more effectively assist students in finding the one that suits their playing requirements.
These mouthpieces are a lasting addition, turning this endeavor into an investment for the future. Bach mouthpieces, being the benchmark against which all others are judged, make for an exceptional resource to have readily available. Thank you once more for bringing joy to both our present and future students!”

Jazz for Everyone
Funded Nov 27, 2023Discovering new music is consistently thrilling, and the excitement is elevated when students are involved in the selection process. The thrill reaches its peak when the chosen music, heard for the first time just a month ago, now finds a place in their jazz band folder. Typically, it takes me a year or longer to accumulate the funds needed to acquire a substantial collection of new sheet music for any ensemble. However, this particular project has enabled me to acquire all the suggested pieces by current students in one go. We are diligently rehearsing these new compositions, aiming to showcase them in our upcoming spring performances. A heartfelt thank you for your assistance in facilitating this rapid and gratifying musical transformation!”

Guitar Chord Posters
Funded Oct 26, 2023We deeply appreciate your generous support in funding this project for our beginning guitar students. These posters are invaluable in laying a strong groundwork for the essential skills they require for success. Additionally, our fantastic library staff has kindly laminated them to ensure their longevity.
The inclusion of another exceptionally high-quality, brand-new guitar is a tremendous boost for these students. It's becoming evident to them that the community genuinely backs their endeavors and wishes for their success. Your generosity and commitment to our guitar students are truly valued and appreciated!”

Sticks and Sticks
Funded Oct 26, 2023Thanks to everyone who pitched in to help fund this project so quickly! These drumsticks are literally the best on the market and not to have to worry about where I'm going to get some takes a big load off of my mind.
The size and weight of these sticks make them ideal for the heavy abuse that they take during a marching band performance or a football game - the heads of our snare drums are made of Kevlar mesh and can really take a beating (get it?). Hopefully this infusion of 20 pairs will last us more than a few years.
Your investment in our students is much appreciated and we owe you a very large thank you!”

Mr. Phillips
New Guitar Class
Funded Jun 26, 2023Thank you so much for the generous donation of new instruments to our program. We now have enough guitars that students enrolled in this course will not need to purchase their own instrument. We have 22 in my classroom that students will be able to use on a daily basis in class.
Guitar has become one of the most popular elective classes at our school - we have a waiting list of around 70 students to take beginning guitar. I had no idea how much interest was out there for this kind of class. I hope we can continue to see the program grow as the years go by.
Thanks again!”

Suzuki Accompaniment
Funded May 10, 2023Thank you again for your willingness to support another crazy idea of mine! We are building quite an impressive music library together. This legacy will last for countless years - that is the beauty of sheet music, it does not go bad! I still have pieces in our library from 80 years ago that are still in use (albeit not in their original form - photocopies are safer for paper that age).
This infusion of solo accompaniments into our library will help us perform with and for the next generation of young musicians. And the generation after that!
We certainly could not do this without your help!!!”
With gratitude,
Mr. Phillips
